Thanks for your level-headed commentary, your sincerity and honesty and your courage to speak your truth! Good job overcoming the damage from WT. You’re an inspiration. This is the sort of video we need to see!

Hello John, thank you so much for your video, I hope you make many more. Everything you said is 100%spot on. I've known hundreds of JWs in UK living in debt, awful conditions in retirement, with tiny pensions, it's sad. My own sister, a regular pioneer, racked up £25k credit card debt, and went bankrupt, I bailed her out, she left WT and now works for me. I left school 15 to pioneer, fortunately at 17 I bought a positive thinking book, & it motivated me to get a full time job & eventually my own business. I was one of the lucky ones, I was PIMO 20 years & final got out in my early 40s. Your sincerity shines through, you will help many to wake up. If you have a Patreon I would be happy to support your channel. On another note if ever you & your wife want a vacation in London or Spain, we would be delighted to meet you! Hope to join your live stream on 28th, I think it's 8pm UK time!

Great to see another video from you! I think you phrased the scandal well , sex workers in a third world country is not a victimless event , lot of human trafficking, minor victimization, that part gets swept under the rug by the apologists. It is something that turned us off about watchtower corporation, hate to see that in the exjw community. Congratulations on getting your debt under control, we all have our Achilles heel. Hope you continue making the videos they are a great help

@@johnmartin7611 I was raised as a Jehovah witness and as I got older and got married I didn't attend anymore but most of my family are still Jehovah witnesses and they attend the meetings all the time. So my question is .I didn't really know very much about the religion until I came across your videos .I wanted to research more about it because as we were younger we just would get dressed and go with our parents. I never knew very much about it. One of my older sisters just got baptized 2 weeks ago and she's been sending me magazines and books and all different kind of things. I don't want to attend the kingdom hall and i don't want to be a Jehovah witnesses but I don't want her to stop talking to me because we still are in contact. she hasn't gone that far as not talking to me yet. How should I tell her that I'm not interested in being a witnesses.

@@melissalumbreras5723 then they can not shun you. If there were JWs twins and one was baptized and one was not and then had non married sex. The baptized one would be shunned but the non baptized one can still talk to family. It is a loophole. As long as you do not speak Bad about the org they will not shun you.

New listener 🙂 Great video! However I respectfully need to take a slightly opposite view. I'm 67 born in. And I blame Watchtower as well as my parents for my being financially strapped. However I do take credit for breaking the mold and therefore two of my six children have gone to college. My parents, father was physically abusive and his brother molested myself and other cousins. Thank you for your transparency withe this subject.

There a few things you should ask! Did the elders know about Lloyds pronography or sex addiction prior to his wife marrying him? If so, they now with held important information that would help her make better decision! I speaking from my own experience because I was married to someone who had serious problems and years of marriage he just got worse. Is Lloyds sexual repression the cause of his addiction, no!

This always bothered me about the Lloyd situation. He's been out of the "truth" for 10 years and always promoted therapy. So for him to do this for years was unacceptable. I honestly hate the "holier than thou" excuse he threw at those who disagreed with him. No one is asking for perfection. Not cheating on your partner is basic human courtesy. His livestream infuriated me because it was so defensive, which felt oddly out of character for him. I also didn't like how so many people were going as far as to say he did nothing wrong because he was abused by the watchtower. I feel for the exjw community, not ever being a witness myself, but just like the rest of us, Lloyd is an adult, and he can't blame Watchtower forever. It's not healthy.

I actually work for Heidelberg as a service technician. I think you are in PA so it is unlikely that I have come in your shop as I work on the west coast. I have worked in Philadelphia a few times tho. I am very familiar with those presses, now much of my work is on the XL145 and XL162.

Sorry for your suffering. I have a similar story like your's, but I became literally a Bible reader instead of not believing in God . And it's ok, but hear me out. Galatians 5:18 helps me "But if ye be led of the spirit, ye are not under the law." NT reveal that we are spirits and through our realization of this fact are able to love God unconditionally. Just the opposite to JW. So as long you don't break any of your inner rules you are ok? Yes, really! And it's exactly what you express several times, I guess, from your inner person. Just look up Galatians 5:14 "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.". We are not even commanded to love our fellowman or God! What a difference it could have made during my 40+y in their hell. JWs is obsessed with laws and rules to boost their power. Let's rejoice with or without God for our inner love for our fellowmen thus fulfilling the law. For my part, I will love God unconditionally. JWs who denies that they are spirits are dooming themselves to be solely flesh. All the best and thanks for sharing.

AT no time has the Watchtower ever abused anyone. If you want call the standards we live by abuse then you have to blame God. It is huis standards that we follow. Basically tat is what Adan and Eve did. they blamed God for their restrictions. and look at the mess the world is in. Early on in the video I could see your problem, you said "No matter how much you did for the organisation, it was _never_ enough." See you were not serving God, yo were serving man, an organisation. That is what your problem was. demanded

stupid question! I‘m not gonna listen to that video. OF COURSE you should blame the Watchtower-Leaders solely for those Problems and Crimes which they are caused and responsible for! Btw. „The Watchtower“ is a so called „death legal entity/Person“. This legal Form is in fact and legally UNABLE to be held responsible for Crimes or Problems, only its acting legal responsibles as so called „natural Person“ (human being) can be blamed. Hopefully you recognize how wrong snd silly already your question is!
