I once was on a long flight sitting in premium economy class, hoping to get extra comfort, peace and work done on the flight. Two children a around 7-9 years old were seated behind me. The entire flight they were kicking mine and my seat-mates seat, putting their hand over on our heads, shouting and screaming and playing videos off their iPads at full volume without headphones on. They were truly misbehaved children, which parents who honest couldn't give a fuck about the way they were behaving, even after asking them to control their kids multiple times, and by the crew on the flight. I'm not for child free zones, I'm an uncle to a nephew myself and have experience how hard keeping a child entertained is. But there should be consequences for parents who neglect to keep their children behaved! Personally I think those parents should of received a hefty fine from the airline for failing to give a fuck about their children's behaviour, by that's just my opinion.

Any adult ought to be able to enter into a dialogue with other people when an issue arises, without resulting in a confrontation. When I am bothered by someone being loud, I approach them politely and I asked them to please turn down the volume. It's a skill that seems to elude many adults somehow, lamentably so. If your initial attempt proves to be unsuccessful/ignored, try again and if that fails, then seek support. Talking to a person directly about a grievance you may have will result in a positive outcome (provided you remain civil) with most of those you engage with.

Depends on the age, you can't expect that from everyone.A screaming child is more of a distress for their parents than the other people around them. It is so unfair to take a family out for a meal and have parents dismiss their own childrens' behaviour, while mine are behaving as 'theyre just children you know how they get bored....etc etc, yes I do but if you put some time and effort into ensuring they understand there are times and places and consequences for interrupting other people having a quiet evening.

Right... But spectrum and attention disordered kids have to travel... oftentimes with a parent using public transport because keeping a kid with a disability is expensive enough without keeping a car too. How much of what we see is bad behaviour and how much is untreated or undiagnosed disorder?

@@Anon-xd3cf I can't say I don't understand, I often travel with children on the spectrum. I have ADHD, why do people misunderstand that it's acceptable to have special times in supermarkets, play areas etc for people struggling with sensory overload and not travel? Bad behaviour is just that, babies cry when upset as their only form of communication. The reason it is a spectrum is because all children are different. X

Being neurodivergent such as autistic is not an illness or medical condition. Autistic people are not sick, deficited, or diseased 🙄 Autistic people commonly struggle with high levels of anxiety and sensory overload so of course flying is usually more difficult and overwhelming for them. But autism is not a illness its simply being different from being Neurotypical/ the majority. Most of the challenges come from a Neurotypical environment and society that is not designed or tailored for autistics/ neurodivergents.

@@nic524 I apologise, I hope you understand what I meant by my comment, particularly as I have a child on the spectrum and support a lot of children on the spectrum. Neurodisability and neurodiversity can cause a lot of embarrassment for parents. I have ADHD myself and didn't mean to cause offence. However I struggle with labels and as far as I see it the medical diagnosis is an illness. Maybe that is because I see things differently to a lot of others
@crafte164 Жыл бұрын
@@nic524 also (not to offend you) autistic is a term that is seen as offensive in a lot of places as people on the spectrum (which is vast and covers lots of areas) are individuals and very different in every case.

What about children with autism? That's surely discrimination to say go somewhere else...this is such an entitled ignorant discussion. That said there are holiday resort that have child free zones so it's not so far fetched. Also if it's long haul then that is more necessary but not for a 45min flight.

Just have to laugh. It’s a bit annoying but once adults have a few drinks on them on a plane they can be just as bad. If you’re going to ban kids you need to ban alcohol

Be kind and empathetic to the drunk stag party 😂 because they have grown up to be like that from unattended and not parented children 🤣😂🤣

Can we have anti-hen, anti-stag and anti-football-hooliganism flights then, if innocent children are SO bad?
@andrepereira9512 Жыл бұрын
Yes of course kids should only start paying at age 16

Andre Pereira, if a human requires 1 seat to comply with the law, then it needs to be payed for.

Its unrealistic to charter a private plane for privacy... But its totally realistic to send two separate planes one with kid and one with no kids to the same location at the same time...every time. Ffs woman THINK IT THROUGH before you open your gob.
