The big thing about TEMU is that western companies had made their products in China and added 90% and sold them in the west. The Chinese thought, if we sell them twice the price to customers directly instead of selling them to these companies we can make double the money. The problem is not the Chinese, the problem is the greedy western big companies who transferred the knowledge to Chinese companies instead of making the products in their home countries what would justify the high price!

I use TEMU a lot, and never had any issues. Any returns i get my money back as soon as i scan the return in the shop. Great value, and a lot are great quality

Temu is giving the working class an alternative of cheaper shopping. Their quality are not at all bad as China produces lots of such stuffs for their local market. We are lucky to gather access to it. I tried it and have no complains at all for the money I spent.

But, those same exact clothing items are sold on Amazon and, if you look on the TEMU site, they do sell clothing items that aren’t all polyester! I found this out by watching different KZbinrs who do TEMU Hauls, they sell blue jeans, sweaters and, clothing items you would buy in department stores and, high end clothing stores! All you have to do is put in clothing in the search bar or put non- polyester in the search bar, it’s not that complicated! 8:52

Recently purchased some tops (adult/women's) for wearing around the home when doing maintenance (gardening, painting that sort of thing) and was somewhat surprised as to their quality for their price. BTW I am a hobby sewer and for example; what I would pay just alone for buttons I got an entire garment not to mention I don't think I could get as cheap even if purchased at a thrift store. Also as live in Canada, our prices are through-the-roof with outrageous taxes on everything. All said; they even laundered up well (haven't fallen apart) and delivery was hassle free. *Please note; I have absolutely NO affiliation with the company whatsoever and am not disputing that it carries items that are questionable.

As a fellow Canadian, I agree with you. Unfortunately, I can’t afford jeans and tops in stores anymore with their inflated prices so I shop exclusively online now. Usually, I try to support local business but I work hard for my money and can buy 2-3 jeans on Temu for the price of one pair in the store. Canadians can’t afford the prices we are paying in grocery stores, at the fuel pumps, for housing, etc so we need to save money where we can.

I remember once researching an item I saw in Liberty of London - ridiculous price and it was made in a sweat shop in India. I actually received my second order from Temu today and again I’m extremely pleased with the quality. I ordered teardrop peacock coloured flat back stones to up cycle my metal peacocks after painting them and they now look stunning. Also, two hand luggage bags and the quality is superb for a fraction of the price. People are saucing what they need from who ever is selling it at the cheapest price and who can blame them. Actually, there isn’t anything bad to say about the company. It almost felt like you struggled to find fault, certainly that you wouldn’t find at Amazon or eBay or most places probably 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t care what anyone says the tshirts for women and men are the BEST and SOFTEST material I’ve ever owned. And I’ve owned a LOT of clothing. Now, that’s just tshirts. I haven’t been as happy with men’s pullover/button up shirts. I’ve also had good luck with kitchen and cleaning gadgets. I don’t buy toys or jewelry or purses or anything “nice” mainly just everyday tshirts.

I am a rubber stamp designer based here in the UK and TEMU are constantly ripping off stamp designs from myself and many other companies. We report these listings all the time and we have to jump through hoops just to get them taken down…and then 5mins later they are back up again under a different shop name! For someone who is paid by royalties this is simply money straight out of my pocket! And there’s nothing I can do to stop this!!! I wish someone could investigate this fraud side of TEMU and put an end to it!!

Yes they sell it cheap but they haven’t had a designer to pay for the artwork, a marketing team to promote the designs, nor quality materials used to make the product just to list a few out goings. I think this was supposed to be a warning about Temu but it ended up being great advertising for them. The word cheap came up numerous times, they resolve issues presented to them, they take down suspected dangerous items, customer services are great, and the most important thing, their cheap.

​@@dianeguy7452 funny, I know on my tracker it says it goes through customs, and I get packages that have been opened then taped shut again with excessive tape.... just like customs does. I doubt the end carriers - FedEx, UPS, or USPS are opening then retaping the package. I get smaller packages with just a couple of items without them being opened and reaped. Small/fewer items easily scan with gray. Larger numbers- 10+ are always opened and retaped.

The thing is with Temu it's clever they keep the prices lowish which makes you think you can purchase more and more . I went on it the other day just to search for three items that would've set me back fifteen...and I saw so many other things I loved and my bill soon changed to 111.00 So try to pull your self away after you get what you want only . You can always drop those wants in the baskets, to purchase at a later time but aim to only get a few things at a time to prevent you going to into debt.

SheIn is much better - same stuff as temu only cheaper and they offer additional discounts and you collect points for daily check-in on their app and get points for every purchase you make AND additional points for reviewing products you've bought !!!!!!! They just don't bombardise us with ads like temu does

There are overlaps, but Amazon reviews are real and monitored. Because Amazon obviously has a big reputation to keep. Temu on the other hand , wouldn't care if the whole of UK get poisoned by it's products. I loved in China for 5 years , and none us HK people trust 1 % of what Chinese business people say. They are educated to lie since childhood. Don't forget they are the biggest exporter of fantenyl to the US. Any nativity towards this country will be heavily punished. Trust me.

I was wondering if this TV programme was on commission from Amazon, Shein and many other discount online companies as Temu is big competition. The reason why it is lower is because it works on a 'Just In Time' basis. You order what you want and Temu is the connection to buy direct from the manufacturer. Amazon buys the goods in bulk, in many cases from the same manufacturer and stores the goods in warehouses in each of the Countries where they are based. Amazon has overheads and charges more to the consumer. The delivery is longer, but if you really want something you'll wait. I've been buying since January, no problem with refunds or returns. I choose to buy and don't want to be told what I can and cannot buy. Stop scaremongering all the time. Do you know how many older people lived through much less Health & Safety measures and they are living longer. The amount of younger people with allergies today is unbelievable, due to being told what not to do and what is bad.

i have 4 swim suits age appropriate skirted for 4 bucks each - beautiful - i have several cute summer dresses. some cute tennis skirts (have ordered one size up I am medium i ordered large) i have dozens of plastic flowers around my garden a bunch of 16 for 8 bucks. you cant beat it. i live in arizona and sometimes the stuff comes from California in about 5 days, never more than 10 days. i love everything i have gotten in the last 18 months from TEMU.

Most products are way over priced on Amazon, high street etc so TEMU a looks cheaper and the main stream sellers don’t like it. Things I’ve bought from TEMU have been generally very good and they refund fast anything that you are not happy with. Worse thing is not the fastest delivery.

I agree, the customer service is great. The in app chat service is very helpful. Maybe out of goodwill, sometimes they refund money for the products but tells us not to bother to return them :) .... In the event that we need to return them, there is a hub address in the UK so we don't have to send it back to China.

I live in NZ and I no longer buy off Amazon, the postage is rediculous. I now buy off Lazada most of what I need during my long stays in Thailand and take home. Most delivery fee is 35baht, cash on delivery and delivered to the bungalow. Definitely a lot cheapet.

I am a regular Temu customer. Excellent prices on my crafting supplies, great prices on clothing that actually fits me and does not look like someone vomited on it. Household goids, electronics. Yep, I greatly enjoy the games and surprise discounts and prizes, as well as the great products I receive - especially with the 30 days of price adjustments for anything that drops in price during that 30 days. I feel I am getting quality well beyond what I spend. The few disappointments have been made whole quickly - quicker than Amazon.

I hope you're aware that Canada, just like the USA, doesn't have much of an industry anymore. Most of the stuff you buy from Temu has to be imported anyway, it's just shipped directly to the customer rather than to the 1st reseller, then the 2nd reseller, then the shop, then the customer. Clothing - you produce next to nothing, heavy industry - in Mexico at best, anything plastic - most of it comes from China anyway. As to undermining your economy - your government chose to abolish your industry and create a service-based economy built on words and papers. That's why you import all that stuff from China.

I was sceptical at first, but some of the things i have bought have been great and a fraction of the price on amazon. I am a full-time unpaid carer for someone with complex needs ,I purchased arts and craft materials, things for baking etc the low prices mean more enrichment activities . I haven't bought clothing, but i have replaced things around the home he has damaged, which makes it affordable when you are on a very tight income !! Replacement sofa covers that wash and dry in an hour are my best buy so far . Postage can take up to 10 days, so don't order in a hurry, and i ignore all the emails and junk offers that do constantly pop up. Just shop for what you need and ignore the gimmicks.

For a long time I wanted to order a craft subscription box but, I couldn't find one I liked. I watched several subscription boxes being opened and couldn't find one I would spend $40.00 plus a month for a little bit of fabric, beads, paint, etc. When I found TEMU there was my subscription box that I could choose what I got in the box and at a price that didn't put a dent in my budget. As of yet I have no problem with who they are and what I get from them. I shop at the craft stores and I am happy with what I get but, here of late the craft stores don't have what I am looking for or you only get small packages that cost a lot. I am retired and craft all the time, TEMU fills the bill for what I need and at the price I want to pay. I am like a kid at Christmas when ever a TEMU package arrives. I also watch KZbin hauls for items I may have missed or didn't know I needed or wanted. I am a happy camper when it comes to TEMU.

I use Temu a lot as as what might be termed as a size challenged person, I find the fact that when you click on the size buttons for clothes, you can size the actual measurements which a someone who not one size all over my body, a very handy option. So I can be a lt more sure of the right fit than if I just go one the normal size numbers. As someone who is on a very tight budge, the price attracts too as if you order something and it is a little bit the wrong size, you havent wasted the amount of money you might be spending elsewhere. I have also in the past ordered kitchen items which are the same as those have seen elsewhere for much higher prices and then work just as well as those. Another thing I like about Temu is that although they give you an idea of delivery date, should they find that something will be later being delivered, not only do they tell you n advance but then even if it arrives one day after the date they said it would, you are awarded some money back AND you still get to keep the item when it arrives. Deliveries from companies usually take a little bit longer than to the Uk to arrive or then pile huge postage on orders to the Isle of Man, treating us almost like we were in Outer Mongolia is only usually just over a week and little bit which is shorter time than a lot of places, plus the postage costs are good. Sorry some have had bad experiences with Temu, but I havent had a bad experience with them at all up till now and been shopping with them for quite some time. Some people may 'poo-poo' shopping on Temu but if you on a tight budget, can never find what you want at a price you can afford, are shopping to furnish somewhere with things on a budget or have problems like me, clothes shopping, It is a good site to shop on.

Did you also know that the people who work in these places deeply resent outside interference? For many it is this or die of starvation. It is horrible I know and the answer is to force the manufacturers to improve pay and conditions. Meanwhile how do we know with all the different sellers which are ethical and which are not? I am talking across the board here. Amazon sell many of the same products as Temu from the same manufacturers but sell for more money. With so many huge market places with so many suppliers across the board how are any of us to know? I don’t use Temu that often but I don’t see them as being any worse than other huge online market places. Please don’t sink to insults. The BIGGEST problem with TEMU is that if you wished to purchase an item for $10.00 you just can't as they present you with a dialog screen almost requesting one to purchase upto and including $50.00. Why ? I don't really know. Why can't they include a postage for the one item and then proccess it. The $50.00 bit is a BIG RIP-OFF I feel.

Have had refunds immediately, no problem at all returning anything, had a couple of refunds but not had to return the item. Cant fault them tbh. I order alot from Temu. An only had to return one product. I didn't have no trouble with the return. Actually they asked me to recycle/dispose of the item properly. I have also purchased exact items on Temu, at way cheaper price than Walmart and Amazon. So should each and every item, start being checked?

After the delivery time they give you, you report it, get £4 and can delete your order, unless it's with the UK carrier already, and you get your money back too. I received everything I ordered within a week apart from Christmas time when it took about 9-10 days, during which I got updates as to the whereabouts.

You mentioned the effects on the environment of shipping mass quantities of goods from China from Temu. Where exactly do you think most branded stuff comes from? I'm no advocate for Temu. However all they are doing is cutting out several middle men just like Alibaba etc.. and most of these "concerns" are the middle men missing out on their cut. I have a business in the events industry and I personally imported a selection of stage lighting direct from factory in China. I did my research and didn't get the cheapest. However it was consider ably less than branded products which are also imported from China because I cut out the middle man. I also got a better product because the brand importer wants to maximise products so they reverse engineer the product to their profit margin and price point. Yes it is buyer beware. Yes some of it is tat. But alot is good quality product and the reason it's cheap is because you've cut out several middle men. Also worth noting for every middleman that gets involved there's more VAT.

I love Temu. I have had some lovely clothes and shoes from them at reasonable prices as well as other items at a more competitive price than Amazon. There refunds procedure is very easy and, if you just want to leave the money in your account, is done in seconds (although you will get 'nag' emails and messages to get you to spend it!!). The only downside is having to wait several days for the goods to arrive but, they can be tracked all the time so you know when they are arriving AND if your goods don't arrive in the time specified they give you £4 for your inconvenience. Buying dangerous items is down to the consumer and not the marketplace I am afraid.

Here’s the thing. Temu is not always cheaper. We have a family business in the UK designing and making cards. Our cards are made here in the UK and are sold from our website and Etsy. Currently about 70% of all of our card designs have been STOLEN and sold on Temu. Our cards retail at £2.95. Some of the Temu sellers have them for £4.68! Then you have to pay postage and wait up to 13 days for delivery.
