👌 How to work with my video lessons? At first watch it and repeat all Russian sentences out loud and record yourself to check your pronunciation. After watching put down all sentences you can remember. Watch the video again in 5-6 hours and correct the mistakes in your sentences if you have any. Do the homework that I usually give at the end of each lesson. Watch the video again in 2 days and make your own examples with the patterns used.

Im learning russian from about 7 months actually not really learning but i learned it automatically because im living with a russian family so basically by listening to them a lot i don’t know i learned everything. But yes i didn’t write down anything so that i could specifically learn russian. But i when i listen your this video i was already watching other KZbin videos on 1.5x speed and i didn’t notice that this video was also playing on 1.5x but i understand you very well what you have told in this video. There was very few words that i didn’t listen before. I have seen your video on verb . You have explained it beautifully and excellently. I appreciate your work and effort. I want to learn russian to perfection I don’t know why but it’s very exciting for me to learn it and also i fantasize that one day i will speak Russian like a pro

I think it all depends on what you want and are able to learn. I started learning a few years back in my late thirties. For me, learning correct grammar was blocking me from learning vocabulary. I just quit using it unless it is essential for the meaning of a sentence. And it works for my goal, which is traveling in the FSU. For which you absolutely need to know the verbs of motion!

Спасибо большое. Unfortunately, some people on KZbin like to say it's not important to study grammar. My experience with Russian is that interweaving grammar with a lot of the other skills is helpful. Each skill can reinforce the other. Of course, if I only learn the cases it's not helpful. But learning them and then reading/listening, etc. I see them and I remember them from before. It's the main thing that makes Russian so difficult, but eventually....eventually, you find some of the cases become a bit more automatic when speaking. Also, if you actually really want to embrace the language, you need to learn them. I taught English to foreign speakers for many years and it is true that someone can speak really quite badly and still make themselves understood. And, this is fine. It's always good to communicate. However, it's also OK to learn a language well if you want.

Нужно изучать падежей, и нужно потратить (некоторое) время на граматику. Если не изучаешь падежей, твои предложения нет имеют смысл. И звучят странно. Я не думаю, что надо тратить много времени на граматику, но необходимо. Also, I think you speak very clearly and are an excellent teacher!
