What I do to overcome ensuring that I execute and get things done in my business so that I can take off on Fridays is to ensure I have a day and time attached to everything.
One of the most common stumbling blocks people have when they first start to step into being a Owner of a Childcare Business is…not treating it like a Business and planning their days. In all honesty, as soon as you decide you are actually going to Launch or Expand your Childcare Business, you need to start acting like a CEO and learning the skill of Execution.
How I overcome and ensure I am getting things done is by planning. So once I say I am going to do something, I ensure that I find a day and time and add it to my calendar to work on. Then when that day comes, that's what I do.
Now, I'm not perfect by no means, I get it! I know exactly what it feels like to finally commit to taking action, only to feel like you’re getting nowhere. When you lose momentum and don’t see progress, it’s hard to keep going.
Here’s what I do when that happens (and it works every time for me and my clients!):
1- STOP! Yep!! You need to just take a day and STOP for just a minute sis!
2- Brain dump. Make of list of everything you have going on. The key here is to free up your mind so you can make room to actually do the planning which is step 3.
3- PLAN. Take that list, sort through it, and start adding it to your calendar.
Next week, this is exactly what I will be helping my PREMIUM members do during our Live Virtual Classroom session. They are all having issues executing, so before I take them any further, we are going to get this down pat.
Should we talk? Send me a DM!
