He added stretch goals today. He’s starting small and will add more if the game is more successful. It’s his first game and he actually put a lot already into the game as it doesn’t need much, but he’s also been open to ideas so he opened the stretch goal because a lot of people asked him to do it.

I’m interested in Terraria for an IP standpoint but I don’t think I can trust the company. There’s some information on the channel “The King of Average” about the owner of the company also owning Stone Sword Games which has failed to deliver Senjutsu Battle for Japan. There’s concern that money from Terraria will be going to fund the previous campaign.

Do not back Terraria - the "company" for it are actually funding a previous game in order to provide it, not to mention you really do not know when this will actually arrive. Please do not fund this and report it
