Whereas in the case of the 737 max 9 it's a full panel that blew off the plane and Boeing has already explicitly acknowledged its responsibility in this massive failure. @triple7marc Жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, the government does not want plane crashes to happen. But regardless, you don’t need to “trust the government” to know that these planes are safe. You simply need to understand WHY the crashes happened, and what changes Boeing made to the planes. The crashes happened because MCAS (which was implemented to make the MAX handle like the NG so that NG pilots did not have to retrain on the type) took data from a faulty angle-of-attack sensor and pitched the nose down until it crashed. Pilots were not trained to disengage MCAS. Boeing has changed the MAX in the following ways: 1. MCAS will NEVER override pilots anymore. 2. MCAS will only activate once, and less significantly. 3. MCAS will take data from two AOA sensors instead of one. And finally, 4. Pilots have now been trained to fly and operate the aircraft. They can fly it just fine even without MCAS as long as they are trained to do so.
