Hi, loved this podcast! 1. Can you discuss the financial stability of SpiceJet and Go FIrst. The upcoming few years are golden for aspiring pilots IF AND ONLY IF these two airlines remain operational. If any one of them goes down, it will be disastrous for students undergoing pilot training. 2. How high is the demand of AFIs in India considering we just have 35 FTOs as of today? Also, can a fresh CPL holder get work permit to work as a flight instructor abroad?

Hi i am also looking to do cpl in usa Indiana i also was wondering same he told me that yes we can do it but it differs on country basis but in usa and canada. only fling charges are required and you will be good for 1-2 years but note it you need to have cfi licence hope i helped you where are you planning to do ?? maybe we have some chances for bieng connection

But, cpl license is required in the course. Which country you will suggest? Around how much will it cost?

USA / AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND / INDIA these are all good countries to do flight training from. Speaking of BSc in Aviation, in our opinion, it’s not that useful. Rather you can get your CPL and then consider BSc if you still want a degree. In order to get a Job as an Airline Pilot in India, having a degree is NOT a requirement. But having a DGCA CPL certainly is.

how is a pilot's life? I mean the job profile looks like it would be fine for bachelors but it might be a problem for married people? can one sustain this profession alongside having a family?

Better than 9-5 jobs that may even go 9-10 Pilots only needed to work for some time and they get off days to get back home and also they can enjoy being at home

Is there any kind of age limit to become a airline pilot? I am 30, what problems will I face to get a job considering my age? Do you have any friend or colleague who started at the age of 30 and is a airline pilot?

30 is not too old to be a pilot. I once met a pilot years ago who was in his 50's and he told me he started his training when he was 40!! One of the things he told me was that it was actually advantageous because when an airline is looking at new candidates who have pretty much the same qualifications etc, they will often go with the older one! why? bcuz an older person is seen as being more responsible,etc. Its not fair, but that's the way it is.
