Thanks Nikolai, great and clear explanation. Would like to keep in mind that making the same as when doing client work can be a goal, but it also can be a goal to make 'just' a living out of it. I think a lot of people can perfectly live with and from 3000 to 4000 dollars a month - depending on where you live ofcourse. Keep up the good work 🙂

Awesome video Nikolai. I'm seeing very similar results from my templates. I've noticed that as they fall further off the main page, the sales taper off accordingly. It's definitely a numbers game unless you want to increase your personal marketing effort.

Hey there! You can link the Webflow templates on your website, but you can't sell them directly through your website. That is unless you build a template that you don't sell through Webflow, such as www.systemflow.co

Hey Bill! I'm actually going to be doing a template live stream where I can hopefully go into detail about some if this stuff :) www.nikolaibain.com/stream The response from Webflow takes a while, they are quite busy in the template department! Expect it to take a couple of weeks to a month. In terms of Theme Forest, I think that was an old option that is now no longer happening. Most of the themes there are from 2016

I can see some designers are using a search function, I am presuming this is something like the Finsweet search function!? Which would be a little more difficult to implement than the regular webflow software edits.

Hey Michael! You can't add any custom code into Webflow templates, so the search functionality you're talking about is probably just the regular Webflow search functionality as I'm aware? Let me know if that makes sense :)

Webflow have rules that say you can't sell on the template gallery AND other places, but nothing is stopping you from just selling from you website like library.relume.io 😊

Even though I don't like to work with templates as a Webflow Developer when my clients ask me to, but creating them by myself as a source of passive growing income looks very inspire. 😁 You mentioned about 40 hours of work to create each template - this is including design? So its 20 hours for the design and 20 hours for the implementation? Do you create design by yourself or you have a partner for this part of work?

Great to hear! It really can change from template to template how long it takes to design and build, but I always do it all myself. I try to make the design phase short and play around with how the design looks in Webflow itself.
