@@cmimportersandexporterspty3456 hey to further sell you, the weight of both bikes could be equal but the 250f would feel way heavier. You know why? A four stroke is more planted and engine breaking exists. So it will still feel heavier comparing to a 2 stroke. Which has no engine breaking and it's a very loose feel on the bike. If you end up getting the 2 stroke a couple good tips I have is learn proper body position if you haven't and move fluently with the bike. If it gets a little sideways grip with the knees but don't stiffen up. It'll hop around and do it's thing so let it, the second you try and man handle it is when you send yourself into orbit and wake up in a hospital bed 😂

Great video and feedback on the bike. It is such a solid simple reliable bike. I just purchased a 2022 gas gas mc 250 and I absolutely love it. The lack of vibration compared to older 250 2 strokes is noticeable and the thing is super light. To me it sort of feels like a 125 chassis with a 250 motor. The air forks took a sec to break in and get used to, I played with the preasure and clickers a little, but now I've got them feeling pretty good. I almost went the Yamaha route as I've had one in the past and really liked it. But the lighter weight and counter balanced engine won me over. That and I had an old mc 250 way back in 2004 because my cousin was a Gas Gas dealer at the time. So I wanted to try the KTM version lol. Go ride one man I think you'll be pleasantly surprised especially if you get the suspension set up right for you.

I'm curious how you rate the "feels like" weight of a modern 250 2-stroke vs. a modern 450 4-stroke. for comparison, I weighed 205-210 in my racing days in the schoolboy, 125, and 250 C and B divisions. I absolutely loved the 125 because I could just flick it around in a way that no 250 would allow. is that similar to the modern 250 vs. 450? I enjoyed the video. voice over worked well, and it's nice to get an amateur rider's perspective!
@truthbetold84253 жыл бұрын
A 250 - 2 stroke is the only choice in the 250 class but it requires a talented rider or the bike will wear you out. 2 Strokes demand aggression, and they are fast when ridden with aggression. 4 Strokes make for lazy riders which is why the injury count has gone way up over the years. In the 450 class, unless you're an exceptionally fast 2 stroke rider, the 450F is the faster bike in most race conditions. Certain tracks however will favour the 250 2 Stroke. But again, you need to be a star or rising star rider to be fast on any 2 - Stroke.

I agree, I have had my 15’ yz250 since 15’ after having a 14’ kx250f and before that a Honda 150r. I’ve rode a 2021 yz450 and it scared the shit out of me even after being able to shred a 250 2 stroke. There is just so little room for error on a 450 or 250f, 250f u have to always be tapped to be fast because the engine braking is insane, and a 450 you have to be so articulate cause if you grab too much throttle with the wrong timing you could have a completely life altering crash. My 250 2 stroke I’ve learnt to finesse with zero engine braking by being able to go full throttle then a smooth 30% off kickers, works like a charm for my riding style. I’ve had 2 operations on my ankle and knee from racing and feel like I’ll never hurt myself bad again with my confidence on my yz250 and just knowing the bike so well, I could never with a 450 riding would be boring for me on a 450 gelling like I have to dial it back.
@dylanmonnelly95392 жыл бұрын
@@nissan_6828 if your fast on a 125 your rebuilding the top end every 10 hours. I’d say 250f’s take maximum aggression the same way especially with engine braking. And 450’s are scary if your not just crusin laps. Which is fine but that’s boring for me, I get to use 80% of my yz250 and it’s the most fun I’ve had on dirt bikes and I’ve raced everything since 85 2 strokes to 450’s
