I picked up a yellow 08 z06, cammed with straight pipes. It just roars down the road and shakes side to side at idle. Yet with the cargo space, I’ve brought two picnic tables, fold up chairs, a cooler and food with space to spare. It’s only gone up in value in 5 years. No mechanical problems. Gas mileage in the city is 14 and 23 on the highway.

Even if it's a conversion, that's one beautiful C6, I love that blue! I have a black C6Z lowered all the way on the stock suspension. I really wanted to add the CF bits you did, but I KNOW the CF front splitter and the side skirts (to a lesser degree) wont last a week! Too bad, they look so nice!

I have a mildly cammed LS3 in my '08 C6M and I get 27 mpg on the highway at 80 mph.... and if I'm around town hammering it I get 17 mpg.... I'd say that's pretty dang good for a cammed C6 !!!!

the highest average my 5.3 (impala ss) has gotten is 15.6 mpg, from a car thats supposed to get 18 city... the lowest was 11.5 when i first got the car and was having a little bit of fun lol. however i do get the same mpg as you on the highway, with half of my cylinders shut off. stock motor btw. maybe i made the wrong purchase

Yup, you should and I did :⁠-⁠) 09 Atomic Orange Z for me. I love it, and keeping it. They truly do handle very well, and are extremely comfortable for day long trips. Get heads done if you buy a LS7, otherwise great cars.

I was wondering what your opinion was an especially about the issue about how vets kill the car battery quick on their own? Would love some feedback really want to get into this vet but I’m afraid of getting stuck having to do a lot of repairs afterwards.

Guessing gas and insurance is a little pricey, especially me at a younger age, (under 20), how is it for a daily driver? Im sure you take good care of the car so how is the maintenance like? LS3 engine has port injection to wash off carbon deposits from intake valves. Eliminates risky expensive walnut blasting of valves and Low Speed Pre Ignition aka LSPI. I hope to buy before becoming a prized collector.

Well not S*** it handles exceptionally well. These were first built for the track back in the 60's so handling was one of their strong points. And they sound similar to a Camaro SS now that they both carry the same engine platform. 😅

Yes, it was an LS2 before and had a Crate LS3 dropped in. Body is an OEM zo6 body. I honestly would keep that car and just build it. Reason I chose this one was because I knew I wanted to boost it and ls3 with boost is 👌

@@FUMan661the ls2 is a beast with boost too. The ls2 gets looked down on, but it’s not a huge downgrade from an ls3. With boost and similar mods they make similar power. The ls3 gets the nod but the ls2 is right there

I recently purchased an 05 ls2 vette and when I purchased it I drove an 08 ls3 right before it. The 05 actually felt better to me and I really didn't notice the power difference. Just buy the one that looks best to you.

I agree...It's too much power for a new/inexperience driver. you have to respect the power this car has. I got mine when I turned 48 and it's a beast. Over 30 years of driving experience and I was truly astonished what this car (2008 ZO6 - stock) can do and how fast it does it. I've had fast cars before but not like this one. Be safe and gain driving experience before getting behind the wheel of this car....it does not forgive!
