Hey Guys, in this video we review this 2007 Mercedes Benz E280 CDI Elegance, with just 20,000 KMs, which sold for 8,50,000!!
*Update: I was contacted by the buyer of the car, a very nice Gentleman who wanted this car to be private i.e. not on the internet. He was not happy with number plate blurring, so i decided to edit all "identification points" - plates, wheels & the exterior for this particular E280. Hope you all support the video as always. The Mercedes Benz E class is a direct rival to the BMW 5 series and the Audi A6. This generation of the E class is known for its luxury, comfort, premium build quality and rock solid engineering. This car shared garage space with a Rolls Royce and has been maintained in impeccable condition. This is a second owner car and comes with full company service records, which is really rare. The fancy number also adds to the curb appeal of this black beauty.
The Mercedes Benz E280 CDI is powered by a silky smooth V6 Diesel engine producing around 200 bhp and 456Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via the robust 7G tip-tronic automatic gearbox. This car also comes with original AMG alloy wheels, giving this luxury car a hint of sportiness. All 4 tyres have been recently changed and the car also has a 9H Ceramic coating which ensures that the paint is protected from fading, minor scratches and retains that deep gloss. The car has been recently serviced in October 2020 from Mercedes ensuring total piece of mind regarding maintenance. Insurance has expired.
Talking about features and luxury, this car was highly equipped for its time and even today it has all the luxury and features you would expect from a luxury car. Electric adjustment for the seats, plush leather upholstery, excellent ride quality, a Hi-Fi music system, Front and Rear parking sensors and a Sunroof are just some of the many features and attributes of this car. This has the OM642 3.0 V6 engine which is quite incredible. They can do 1 million miles easy. Great cars. Its not a 2.8 litre its 3.0. Its the exact same engine as the E320 CDi V6 , just different tuning.

Bro, it's got a 3 Liter V6 diesel engine. Mercedes used that engine for both the 280 and 320 CDI models, but just tuned them differently.

older models had a 3.2l inline 6 that was even better and more reliable with just few common problems like injector failure and injector leaks. the v6 om642 has timing chain issue , oil leak issue , oil cooler failure + the common problems from the 4.2l i6 om648.

It is bit low. But suspension is not very soft and wheelbase is not too big. So, not a big issue. You have to be careful and big speedbreakers have to take at an angle.

Will be great if car has been maintained properly. If it is going to be your only car, I will not recommend it... Spares can be very very expensive if things fail and availability of parts also will be an issue... If it is second car at home and u have a reliable daily car, and have spare cash of atleast 2-3L after buying the car and you are willing to be patient in waiting/sourcing parts, then only you think of going for it.

9lakhs for an e280 is way too much , that is good price for e350 2010-14 models. this one is much older and should be around 4lakhs on a good day.

@@vishnun3058 yup and there is nothing low milaga about these cars. At one point it doesn't even matter how many km it has , at this age it will need a ton of repair. Lots of rubber parts that have failed. Oil cooler leaks on these are common. Pretty much whole suspension bushing's need to be replaced. Engine mounts and all these are replaced by calander age. It doesn't matter if the 20 year old car has 20k km or 200k km these need to be replaced!. Heck the 200k km car might have all of these replaced already if the owner has taken care of it.

Hi, yes, after our long discussion - I have completly edited the video again - removing all exterior shots and the car number is not seen in any frame. Note: This is not the same video as last time, I had taken that down and completely re-edited it to remove all methods of identification. I have also mentioned the reason, that the buyer i.e. You, want to keep the car private - and I respect that. I request you to please watch the video again, and you will see that it has been re-edited. P.S: I sincerely believe that there are many Black E280 CDI's with tan leather interiors - and this car is not unique / rare in any way. Also, this car was filmed on 13th Feb - which is before you bought the car... All, I'm telling the viewers, is that these kind of luxury cars are available for less than 10 lakhs, I don't see what is wrong with that - especially after removing the most obvious identification points of the car.
