Bought Diesel Altroz in Feb 2023 it was BS VI not phase 2. Car is really good especially engine and handling very peppy to drive.. always keeps me excited.. Faced DPF issue once, but most of driving is in highways so kept driving issue got cleared on its own. Very stable on highways in 6 months I have driven 15k.. mostly between Bangalore, Trichy, Chennai never felt underpowered or uncomfortable.. Good car, my service experience till now has been good no bad experience, so it's upto service centre..

Government is painting a false view as if Diesel engines are more polluting. But from my Industry experience in Engine calibration for passenger cars, I can say that Diesel car emissions are on level with petrol engines . Even the RDE emission emission for diesel engines are much better. The Co2 levels are much lower in Diesel engines around 25%. But Government is targetting Diesel engines not sure who is behind this. Will end this by saying , A diesel is a Diesel is a Diesel.❤ Good review sir.

I would say Baleno is much better option in terms of refinement ( since it's petrol) and long term reliability. Tata and Mahindra service is a worry and their clutch tends to get hard within 40-50k kms, whereas maruti and Hyundai are smoothly retained even after multiple services. I have test driven altroz diesel ( a big disappointment due to the clutch of the test drive vehicle ) and bought xuv300 ( diesel ) , but within 10k kms I am facing issues with ABS, STEERING LINK ROD, AC BLOWER, ECU revv issues. Better to pick Maruti/Hyundai/Honda/VW vehicles.

Having Altroz XZ+ Diesel. 8 months old and driven 15K kms. The performance and stability is ✨ Good handling hatch in current market with head turning looks Have gone long trips and driven 600 kms in a single stretch. The comfort is awesome Only issue is DPF regen. If you know about cars well and an enthusiast then it's not at all a problem, you'll manage it easily. Current A09 is solved most of the DPF issues

Impressive. A punch diesel version would be ideal for a lot of people. With its robust build, high ground clearance and lack of too many electronic stuff (the area where Tata seems weak), a Punch diesel version would become the highest selling diesel car if launched. Or at least Tata can launch a Nexon diesel Smart variant. Currently the diesel variant starts at almost 13.8 lakh on road, which is just 2 lakh lower than the Seltos diesel.

PLEASE DO NOT TALK HIGH SPEED NUMBERS LIKE 160 or 170 as a PROUD THING. SPEEDS are meant for race tracks. Moto wagon videos are too good. I really appreciate the awareness videos on road rage and safety issues. Kindly ADDRESS this point as well. The car owner was very proud in informing about his high speed. 80kmph is the most of the Indian roads' allowed speed. And even in any of the biggest highways, i guess 120 is the limit. 80 is sufficient in any road is what i feel and it will be also fuel efficient and more environment friendly. www.youtube.com/@scottykilmer is a good reviewer too. I wish the videos are little more technical than focusing on the high speed. And could focus on the various parts and their reliability.

But there are many down points with diesel cars. 1. Higher initial cost 2. More frequent engine oil change and hence service 3. More wear and tear per KM run and hence lesser resale value 4. Registration validity is 10 years when compared to the 15 years for Petrol cars 5. Reducing gap between the cost of Diesel and Petrol 6. Higher NOX emissions and soot formation 7. Runs the risk of bans during times of severe air pollution 8. Less suitable for start and stop city driving Therefore unless you plan to 1. Drive alot 2. Drive on highways more than in cities 3. Change your car in 5 to 7 years Petrol vehicles are definitely the better bet.

Validity is not 10years it is 15 years. Only in ncr it is 10. Not that much of maintenance difference, yearly cost will be 3 -5k extra than a turbo petrol Bs 6.2 is lower emissions than old generation petrol engines

tigor vaangina pudhusu la i had the same problem... gear issue... also had a rattling noise... gear issue sorted by tata... rattling noise was able to solve only after two years when gear cable was changed.

I have faced similar issue with biker i was travelling with my wife and baby around 40kmph a biker all of a sudden overtakes and and came infront of us i thought he would overtake and just keep moving at his same speed after overtaking but he applied sudden brake infront of car i had to sudden brake and he was asking me to come to the side i moved my car suggesting to stop at the side and tokk right md went he chased for 200mtrs then a bit of cars started appearing and he left. Another incident also with this time i was not even driving i was seated with my baby in the front passenger seat he did the same stopped infront of vehicle and my father stopped to the side he came to my side and started shouting at me we were at 20 30 kmp speed as the road was bad. Never ever lower your window or get out of your car tat any cost if he attacks the car he would have to face police action once you get out and it escalates the first thing will be why did you get out of the car to attack him so do not lower window or get out of the car.

Almost I visited showroom more than 30 time's...They said soot is high but not rectified permanantly....I am from Trichy...If you said for any place for permanent solution definitely I will approach...U can tell how to avoid this and what can I do.... Because I totally deprecated in that matter when I travel long trip with my family....I got tension whenever that soot light comes... Asir Anna didn't recommended this car ,he saying like if u like altroz then go for Diesel ❤😂. I too have Altroz Diesel Red bs6.2 driven 4k kms. Main drawback i feel is hard suspension and low end torque and service. Good about this is high speed stability and we can easily touch 160kmph. In TATA, everything will be 80% good because it's not a complete product like ford. Complete product making car company already left the India 😂.

Was requesting this video for months. ended up pulling the trigger and bought the car on the month of july. Same diesel white color BS6 phase 2. What Tata has done with the car marketing wise is criminal, but its an engineering marvel. even with 7000 units per month it is an underappreciated gem. I too felt that a sedan with the same platform would be insane, once their petrol power train and automatics become good. the brand would be unstoppable. I had a couple of nigges from my side as well. Diesel wash removed altroz badging from rear Front driver seat side plastic broke from normal use within a month rear seat armrest plastic moulding bulging from excess weight.

Also current 1.5 is 90 bhp with 200nm torque as low as 1250 rpm. Whereas mjd peak torque is close to 2000rpm with only 74hp. So no comparison right across rpm current 1.5 diesel is so powerful and 1.3 mjd can't even thinking for catching up with altroz d. Go and test drive in powerful mode you will get to know
