Love that Lip! 👍🏾😊. Great video and “Spot On” on your analysis/commentary. I have an E93 2011, have done all of the “known-knowns” 😂 and had budgeted for them. Peace of mind. Next are my bushings. Then I’m getting that Lip! 😀

Also, absolutely. The “known-knowns” are key to understanding and ensuring your E9X is optimized for long-term enjoyment. Yeah this lip is insane, I love it!

I picked up a 2008 a few weeks back. In the shop for CarPlay, exhaust and change out the valve covers. Already have an F80 but definitely if you cannot afford an E9X in cash, I wouldn’t buy it lol. Maintenance and stuff do add up.

Nice! Congrats on the 2008. E92? And I agree, cash is the best way to purchase a car like this (or most older cars). You need to have some extra capital to be able to afford the initial maintenance, mods, repairs etc

@ yessir e92 m3. My friend just did an inspection and oil had some metal flakes in it and a seeping tranny in the pan 🤣

how's your experience owning both the F80 and the E92 now?

Oh no! Doesn’t sound good 😅

Nope...The main bearing issue is about to hit people like a freight train! And it's an engine out full rebuilt process! Biggest problem with S65 and S85 engines is finding a machine shop that can work on them without destroying the block.

Certainly something to be aware of. Mine are OE, but I don’t plan to change them anytime soon. I’m taking care of routine maintenance, proper warm up process etc. in hopes they last as intended. It’s definitely a major engine out job, so hopefully a complete failure will be few and far between.

@@legacydriven You should be fine then and aslong as you keep the engine NA...Supercharged engines are living on borrowed time. Most of the listed e92s with swapped engines are supercharged.
@legacydriven18 сағат бұрын
Yeah, now that I agree with for sure. Boosting the S65 is risky business 😅 unless you do a complete engine overhaul prior to supercharging. But that’s a big investment…. Plus this chassis is a joy to drive NA. There’s plenty of supercharged V8’s out there to enjoy that were built for that.

@@legacydriven Yeah man... Enjoy the car, you're lucky you live in the states, over here the cars cost $50,000-60,000+ 🤪🤪

Wow! Thats crazy 😅 definitely lower priced here in the US.

A suggestion to be financially responsible. Don't take out a loan for a car over 10 years old. Your interest rates will be even higher. Try to just buy it with cash. If you can't do that then you probably won't be able to afford the maintenance. And just wait until you are financially in a position to properly own a car like this. I'm going to buy a e92 m3 in the spring and I'm waiting for the prices to keep soften more before buying. I can't drive it on the winter anyways.

Definitely, and that’s awesome! You’ll love this chassis. Such a blast! 💪🏼

Why would the price soften in the spring. People trying to offload them heading into winter offers the best deal.
