Back in the day we put a hose from the valve covers to the collector outlets on the headers so all that would just go out the exhaust. I've put catch cans on my wife's hyundai and on my f150 they work good. Are they solving a problem who knows
@MrLucasgrossi Жыл бұрын
Are your valve covers baffled. I'm going to weld on bungs on my stock covers and will be removing baffles for clearance not sure how important this is. Also did you put it in the front because of the smell I was hoping to put it in the back. Great videos

$100 isn't bad! I got a JLT 3.0 for the wife's 2014 Explorer Sport. It was like $150 I think. I'll definitely be looking at one whenever I get around to getting another Mustang!

Oh nice! I looked at the JLT units they’re nice!! And oh yea you’ll definitely need one for the next build!! 😏

I have a 2019 chrysler 300 I want to install a K&N cold air intake do I need one of these oil catch cans?
@zenaxia806311 ай бұрын
you only really need one if you have either e85, forced induction and in some nitrous applications, other than that as long as your oil changes are on time, you should be good.

Would this be beneficial on a stock 302 foxbody?
@iamchazhaynes70743 жыл бұрын
It would definitely be beneficial! Except for your application for a stock engine I would get a closed catch can which basically mean it doesn’t have a filter it would go inline from the pcv valve to the intake manifold. But it collects condensation and other things the build up in your crank case as you saw in my video you don’t want that junk floating around in your engine !

I bought the same catch can that you have and it exploded when I fired my car up for the first time and blowed a big hole in my hood 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳 and you say its good 😳😳😳😳 how much did they pay you to say that??? 😂🤣😂 im messing with ya man . It looks like it will work as well as the super expensive ones and i don't see spending big on stuff like that because the cheaper ones will work just fine
@iamchazhaynes70743 жыл бұрын
Hahahahaha the people watching this video are going to see that and be like a catch can did what?!?!? 😂😂😂😂😂 hahaha yea I really like it nice and cheap the way I like it has some problems but it wouldn’t be fun without them 😂😂 yea seems like everything is sooooo expensive lately and a freaking can with to bungs welded on does not cost 200$ I’ll stick with my good ole cheap parts 😤
@79beans3473 жыл бұрын
@@iamchazhaynes7074 🤣😆🤪 yeah everyone will be scared of a catch can setup now if they don't finish the comment and it will get spread around and so twisted up that in the end they will think that will blow up the whole "car because China are making bombs with them to kill all of the American people 🤣😆💣🚗💨

Dam what's wrong with your oil you have water in your oil
@iamchazhaynes70743 жыл бұрын
So it’s just the condensation the catch can collects from the crankcase. It’s typical to see that in your catch can my actual oil when I drained it was crystal clear as well as when I flushed my coolant to do my heater core the coolant was nice and pretty. If you google water in my catch can it’s a pretty common occurrence especially for cars that don’t get driven enough.

I'd guess you run Pennzoil motor oil which is CRAP.
@Alexwaltman8503 ай бұрын
Pennzoil full synthetic has been shown in multiple tests to be one of, if not the best consumer grade oil on the market right now. Most guys I race with are running Pennzoil, Amsoil, or Rotella T6
