Honestly, i really like this game. Feels exactly like i want in a far cry game, a massive map with a clusterfuck of weapons, explosives and gadgets. Graphics are also really good too. Easily one of, if not my favourite far cry game.

I turned off the AI outlines and health bars. Way more fun. My biggest dissappointments were all the build up between Anton and Diego, only for it to end... like "that." And also, the final battle was really rather meh, especially Anton's tower. It felt small. I was hoping some luxury palace that would take three hours to climb to the top where you find Anton waiting to do battle with you.

I've beaten every Far Cry entry since Far Cry 2, although I never finished the first game. The Far Cry franchise has always been about causing mayhem and blowing up enemies and vehicles, which is cathartic. Despite the new additions, this is still a Far Cry game through and through. Having an animal companion isn't anything new and its been done in Far Cry Primal, Far Cry 5 and now Far Cry 6, but it is a fun inclusion. Having chickens fight each other doesn't add anything to the gameplay, but it does add some lightheartedness to the story. I don't mind the RPG elements. Instead, they'll just take some time getting used, much like Assassin's Creed Origins (when I first played it at the time). However, the fact that the game introduces a ranking system for the enemies is annoying I have to admit. I'll get used to it though. It simply comes down to having better gear and better weapons. Of course, the visual fidelity is at a high level and the game looks stunning for the most part. Combat is satisfying as always. Voice acting is top notch. In terms of having Antón Castillo as the main antagonist, I think that Giancarlo Esposito did an amazing job of portraying him and he makes for a compelling and interesting villain. He ends up getting quite a bit of screen time, when compared to the likes of Vaas, Pagan Min and Joseph Seed as examples. They deserved more screen time than what they actually got. You get a great sense of how evil he truly is and he definitely makes his presence felt every single time. Despite some silliness here and there, Far Cry 6 has one of the best stories in the series. A big part of that is the fact the narrative is believable. The things that occur in the game could actually happen in real life. Far Cry 6 may very well be the most fun that I've had playing a Far Cry game. By the way, I heard that the next Far Cry game is going to be drastically different when compared to prior entries because it's going to be online-oriented. Honestly, that's not something that I'm a fan of. If it's indeed true, then it'll be the first main Far Cry entry that I end up skipping. Of course, it would require the player to be online at all times and it will focus heavily on microtransactions. We shall see what happens moving forward. This is definitely one of the best Far Cry in the franchise. Am playing the male version because it helps me with the emersion. And I must say he does a pretty good job by himself. Am not too comfortable how the different ammo types work. I understand when you waste a mag on an armored enemy when using soft tissue rounds. But you shouldn't need to shoot someone more than twice with armor piercing rounds who doesn't wear armor. That's something New Dawn handles better. Plus there you can upgrade the damage of your weapon. And New Dawn's double jump is way better. A few days ago I played it again to compare. And the double jump is actually better than I remember and it feels noticeably more like Far Cry as we know it. Love the third person view and the voicing of my character. BTW New Dawn has some third person views for example when you take over an outpost. Or in settings when you go to "Character" than your character walks a couple of steps towards you. I love that. But I love Far Cry 6. Love the deeper customisation and the vehicles. Especially my favourite: the flying buggy. I love it because while you fly you can still look left and right without changing direction. And you can let go of the controller and it will keep flying straight. What I didn't liked personally was the uncessary stupid dark ending. As if they have no imagination. You might like it though. My next playthrough I'll play with the female version and choose an easier setting. Bullet sponges take out of the immersion.

I love how the ai is much more intelligent. In combat they can be stupid sometimes but when being stealthy even the slightest glance at you will send them in alert and if the bar goes up more they will walk to your location. Also they no longer wait to spot you to activate the alarm if they watch someone die or see a lot of dead bodies they will go and activate it. The alarms also come in two varieties: the regular alarm that you can shoot or deactivate and the locked alarm that can only be exploded or deactivated but not shot. Finally the cameras are also a nice mixup for steal where you have to take them out or they will activate the alarm if spotting a dead body or by spotting you.

Far cry 6 gameplay is Valhalla with Guns. Literally. But hey i love it, Guns amazing. Free to choose your style to capture base. My meh of FC6 is "After captured base, players need spent extra minutes to looting 😓". Looting materials after clear base is exhausting. Just make it as a reward for capturing base, no need to loot.

The way you have to go into separate regions and work/help to get different rebel factions ready to unite, as you work with different sets of characters that were full of character, and continue communication with you, doing multiple missions at your side throughout that region (some the whole game) really worked for a big open world, and to add a TON of character, and depth to the game, (it's a story arch for each region, but because of your fellow rebels, not just because there are different villans): you even have a mission where you just hang out one night with a friend! Anyone who says this is just another farcry, probably only played a few hours. Yes, the side villans, aren't great, but these other additions more than make up for it.The male option is excellently voice acted, he cracks jokes often: as you are in game, even sings along with the radio, at times. Another addition is something that was in other games but highlighted here: the game highlights the pathways between roads/, like backroads/pathways in the mountains and the rebels use that system as their underground (well technically above ground) transportation system. You run into rebles on those paths, and there are horse pick up points there, which really adds depth, and life to a part of the map that goes, largly, ignored in other games. Alot of additions, that's for sure.

Being able to mark and see enemies through walls was a thing in every main line far cry that I played (3 all the way to 5). In 3 and 4 it was a syringe that you could craft to give you wall hacks. in 4 it was one of the craftable consumables like the one that made you a melee monster or the one that made you run faster, guess in this game they turned it into a throwable, nice twist but something that isn't new. Vehicle hijacking takedowns are also not new. It was one of the takedowns that were in FC4 and one of the MANY MANY things that for some reason they decided to strip for the game in FC5. People say FC4 was more like 3.5 but imo there were a ton of small but very impactful changes going for 3 to 4 that made (gameplay wise at least) it a better game than 3. Things like flying vehicles, co-op in the actual open world, shooting while driving (while not in a scripted mission), vehicle hijacking, random world events, the ability to replay any outpost you capture without having to reset all of them with the outpost master feature (it would put you in a separate instance from the main game where you could just tackle the outpost), and tons of really unique and fun guns. Most of these were ripped out of 5 for no clear reason. In yeti DLC for 4, there was a base building aspect as well where you literally upgrade the number of positions that had cover, location of ammo refill stations, and the number of mounted weapons and traps that would be used when your base literally got assaulted by waves of enemies. My point is it's a bit aggravating that FC4 added so much from 3, but then 5 literally strips away so much that it made it my least enjoyable FC game, and now 6 is just adding things that should have been the obvious evolution from 4 to 5, and 6 should have been a complete upgrade on the formula. 6 should have been the AC Origins of Far Cry if they hadn't create the mess that was FC5 which they now have to compensate for with 6.

I can see where you're coming from and I can say that the Far Cry 4 features that were striped for 5 would have been great and would have made the game even better, but 5 is far from being a mess in my opinion. I had a lot of fun with 5 and enjoy almost every aspect of it. Could have been better, sure, but I'm satisfied enough.

@@turtlegamez4274 I admit I was very hard on it at the time. BUT what I said was very much still applicable and true. The first year of the game's existence it was plagued by mechanics that straight didn't work as intended, bugs, and just very poor performance so most players such as myself looked to the gameplay to carry the game. Unfortunately with the reduction of gameplay elements from 4 to 5, the game fell flat but furthermore it was compounded by the bugs that affected the new mechanics that did exist. For the new takedowns for the longest time didn't always kill enemies, like they would just get back up. So for a time it felt like takedowns were RNG or non lethal and Idk if that was intended or bugged. And special takedowns like the gun slinger takedown straight didn't work, the game just ignored your input for those takedowns and you could not do them. Another thing was the game had just incredible amounts of micro stutter where it would lag and freeze for half a second every 10 seconds and you could be standing still with no key inputs and the textures were horrible, even with the HD textures which might have been bugged as well when they launched because they were only slightly less muddy than default textures as if they were only partially loading in. I shit you not literally stuck with the game through the entire DLC cycle and all the weekly weapons missions before I came to the conclusion it was the worst farcry game I had ever played. But coming back from the very last update, everything works and stuttering is very forgivable and minimal, HD textures are actually very gorgeous now, guns are a decent variety still lacking over all but not bad, and the NG+ where you can basically prestige certain skills completely changed the game and I must say it is quite an enjoyable game now. But that doesn't mean you should disregard the whole year and a half of getting a shit product when you paid solid money just cuz it's good now. You might have only played in it's finished state but it's kind of terrible that people like me who perordered high end editions got screwed for a year and a half. Most people wouldn't event come back. First and only time I preordered in my life. I was just that hype as a FC fan.

I loved the story. It didn't feel too serious, cause let's be honest. None of the far cry games has a severely serious story. If this story was overly serious then it would be boring. It had to have goofy characters and some funny dialogue to make it more entertaining. The characters are likable in the story. I agree Anton didn't have enough screentime but also I felt he had the most out of every villain. The side villains were also pretty good, but they did feel stale. 1 more thing, the ammo system didn't matter for me. Mainly cause I had very different weapons in my inventory, and I used them each a lot.

it feels like a ubisoft version of Just Cause, which I love because Just Cause was one of my favourite series. One thing I hate about this game is you just don't feel connected to the villain, one thing I love is they MADE THE CHARACTER TALK... another cool thing is the fuck ton of gear, like supremos and resolvers are awesome + it has AC type (newer games) armour sets that give you buffs which honestly made the game feel better overall Far Cry 6 did not deserve all the hate it got, I'm glad to see people actually like the game though

Choc full of enjoyable content for those of us ordinary gamers who just want to have some fun stealthin, stabbing and enjoying headshot feedback , a decent ai system that punishes you if you stand around. It's truly a great game. The best feeling and smoothest by far. Best tip for absolute beginners is to go sneak and get the Urushi AR during the daytime as soon as the map opens up. Literally one of the best ARs in the game with a suppressor already attached.

Dani never got one on one with castillo in first person ever in game. They interact only in cut scenes. This killes the immersion. I mean cut scene rest of the time is fine to show Dani’s personality , but i as player without interacting with main villain, i felt cheated,they never got me one on one in first person with Castillo. Cut scenes were just any videos for me and not me living that moment. There is no final boss fight either !

Have only played the intro and Madadruga. Felt there were way too many missions to finish Madadruga. Actually not looking forward to the other areas. I'm a bit tired of FC in general. It has fun elements, but I can't help thinking I've done most of it before. I think a comparison between 3 & 6 is better than with 5. I see 5 as its own thing- and is my least favorite after Primal. I think 6 is closer to 3 because of the tropical setting & the things you have to do. But #4 is actually most my played game of all time as I did the campaign multiple times and I loved Kyrat.

I really want a Far Cry game where Jason, Ajay and Dani meet, the protagonist of FC5 is not going to be possible though for obvious reasons. They would also have to canonically make Dani 1 gender I think. Or maybe a FC game where there are MAJOR connections between FC3, 4, 5 and 6. Like for example, there are actual cutscenes in Rook Islands, Kyrat, Hope County and Yara. One thing worth mentioning is that, have you noticed that in FC6 they mention the previous games I think way more times than they did before. When you're introduced to Juan he says "Kyrat", there is a whole Bandido Operation that takes place in the Himalayas which is located in Kyrat, they mention that in the description too. And there is even a god damn achievement called "Jawson Brody". You get it by killing a shark in the water with a rocket launcher.

My Opinion on FC6. Is i been a FC fan as long as i can remember from the classic FC to FC5 !! And don't get me wrong fc6 story and gameplay is beautiful but they changed it so much that it feels different!! Like a whole different game vibe. Workbenches were never a thing in the fc series , until fc6 the whole thing with the poison , fire bullets and needing materials to craft your weapon . To make your gun stronger. I loved the bow so much in the fc series because you were able to carry your regular and expensive, fire arrows on you but you can't in fc6 . You have to go to the workbenches and switch to one and only one. And the skill tree and upgrades for your character as in carrying more ammo and all that good stuff is in the clothing. Which was like a big change, in fc5 you would just put on an outfit and thats it . R.I.P to the changes!!

I've lost interest in the farcry series since farcry 4,but 6 looks good. But Im not a huge fan of the new leveling system. And even some of the physics. The physics are clunky as hell. And not to mention the huge map. I get it,many people love huge maps,but it's ubisoft,and still they focus more on quantity rather than quality. But one thing I loved is the villain. He's better than Vaas as well(I personally feel so) Despite its limitations,I really enjoyed farcry 6.

I was severely SEVERELY disappointed in this game. The ammo system being useless and restricting, the buggy respawning of enemies, the horrible gear system requiring me to go into the menu all the time to change gear; all of this completely soiled the experience for me.

All those things were annoying yes maybe they can fix some of those issues in future patches and updates it is still a just launched game. The experience wasn’t soiled for me I I still enjoyed the game but are not wrong about those issues. I still feel like I got my money’s worth out of the game but I hope they improve some of the issues of the game. And no more ***** randomized loot boxes

Yeah the random spawning enemies were so annoying. I completed it after 20 hrs and returned it. Too buggy and not that fun but what really got me was the “America doesn’t want us cuz we’re brown” message they kept shitting out. Villains were shit too. No anticipation was built at all.

I’ve already finished the story and the game was a little better than I thought however I did think the ending was underwhelming it will never be as good as far cry 3. I’m glad they moved away from the dream sequences but there is no choice at the end which kinda sucked this is also kind of the same with the intro as they always have you run away it just gets kinda bland. I’m glad the gun play feels better but I’m more of a stealth player and did think the stealth felt worse idk that might just be me. I’m not sure if it’s better than 5 as I preferred the villains a lot more but the game was nice to play and I did enjoy it I reckon I would give the game a 7 out of 10 as I did think it was missing something but I couldn’t really pick it out I feel like I may forget the game and the villain in the long run in comparison to 3 but overall a solid game !

The setting of Yara and gameplay are probably the best parts of the game, and I liked how they brought back things from previous games like the healing animations and a protagonist that at least has a voice and personality, and the weapons system was great. The resolver weapons and enemies being weaker to different bullet types do good with the whole “Right tools for the right job” idea. The whole setting and tone is one of the best in the franchise, they continued using the colourful style similar to New Dawn (with this time Red being a lot more present) that really works and the towns, wilderness and even the capital city was just amazing. The worst part of the game for me was the story. It was incredibly underwhelming for me, especially comparing the plot and characters to this and the previous Far Cry games. Giancarlo Esposito’s performance as Anton was great but severely underused, even more than other FC villains. A lot of the characters feel downgraded compared to characters from previous games (especially the side villains), the conflict feels more black and white aside from “Yara makes cancer treatment” though the entire story is full of missed opportunities that could’ve made it one of the best FC stories. Aside from that, the AI feel a lot dumber at times, the lack of difficulty setting can make the game fell less challenging, and despite the gameplay being fairly good it’s still very rinse and repeat from the other Far Cry games and bullet sponge enemies if you don’t have the specific bullet type, as much as it presents a decent challenge, gets annoying at a point. Overall it’s a decent game that could’ve been a lot better. They made quite a few good additions and changes to the game, though other aspects of the game felt controversial or underwhelming.

To me FC6 was disappointment because of the weak predictable story, repetitive missions and bland characters/antagonists which didn't have enough depth or backstory. The world was beautiful and detailed and many other things were at good level, but great story, characters and atmosphere are the things what make a good game for me, so FC6 is not one of my top 5 FC games...

Personally I only played 5, new dawn, and 6 and I think overall it’s my favorite of them overall. 5 was really replayable and was the most realistic and had the best customization, New dawn was the most linear and was my least favorite, and 6 has pretty much 3 hope countys for the map and had great gunplay and had a great story

I really enjoyed the game but I felt it was too short. If they put more time in the game they could have fleshed out the characters more and bettered the story. Like, I feel like there almost needs to be DLC to lengthen out the 2nd and 3rd acts of the game.

If you just recently play far cry 4, 5, or new dawn, then don't play this one right now cause it's the same just a lil bit refined. But in my case, i haven't played any far cry since 3 came out, and this one is sure a lot of fun and 100% worth your time
