At least here in California, assortments also get you fireworks that you wouldnt be able to get anywhere else

When I buy an assortment, it's usually just for fun filler to start off the day before the big stuff. So I would usually buy a budget assortment. And these assorted tube fountains as shown at 4:06 are what I like to see because you know you're not getting scammed by those pesky box fountains. With the tube fountains, you can see what you're actually getting. And it's giving you more stuff to light. That to me is a sign of a good honest budget assortment.

I feel like when it comes to fireworks you really do get what you pay for in almost every scenario. I think assortments have their place in the market but personally id rather take said amount and build my own assortment

Another good thing to do is shop around! American wholesale fireworks. Shipping kills ya, but the prices of the fireworks are pretty reasonable. Great video on assortments!

I think the next time you make a video like this you should add in two more tiers, a below $50 tier and an over $200 tier. A lot of people who just want to grab some fireworks for the 4th are probably going to be shopping in the sub $50 range. But also, for the backyard enthusiasts there are some really good assortments for more than $200 dollars. The Gun Deck by Superior Fireworks comes to mind

In general I’d say no to assortments unless they are shelf items and priced right. If you buy a typical assortment, you are just putting all of the decision making up to the manufacturer and they are going to stick you with lots of the same items. Weak fountains and hybrid fountains and cakes.

I have a real problem with assortments, there's a few out there you can get some good deals but for the most part i can get it picked out cheaper, my son's are usually the ones who want them the most, i just tell them I'll build them one and put it in a box lol

Well, thats a hard issue to figure out because a lot of these items are only sold in said assortment. So you cant really find their value outside the assortment. Now the argument can be made that if you take 100$ of individual fireworks and put them up against a 100% assortment...youd get more with the individuals

Quiet honestly not impressed with all these assortment packs. They are a smidge better than the safe and sane box fountain assortments from California. They should include cakes and shells (price dictating) mixed with a few novelties of Roman candle/rocket and some sparklers for the kids. I rather get less items of better quality then lackluster most the way through with the exception of shells. Also those color pearl cakes are awesome.

avoid assortments unless you just want fillers or stuff for the kids. its best to buy wholesale or build your own package deals assortments are fun but normally just filled with a couple good items and the rest is stuff they normally cant sell much of.

My local place has a deal on 500g cakes. they have about 15 different cakes on the " deal" where you get 5 for $120 or 10 for $220. But these are all 500g cakes ranging from 7 - 40 shots. i combine those pick and choose deals with mortars and some smaller 100-300g cake deals
