Thought I would discuss whether or not it is worth buying old cod games or wait for them to come to game pass in 2023 also checking out mw2 and it's playabaility again as the servers do appear to be fixed again but for how long who knows will have to see if this a more permanent fix this time around hopefully! 😅

I came across the cod trilogy last year for $20. MW2 is my favorite. Love the limited edition console. Finally got my hands on one and refurbished it.

we have a christmass sales now price rang for all cod games up to MW(the new one) at 1_10 dollars, I am still not sure if is it worth yo buy or wait.. *I got AW finsihed the campagin, it was amazing but multiplayer is imopssible since there no one on the service*

Had really inconsistent matchmaking in MW3 a couple weeks ago but BO1 matchmaking was always good for me. Recently MW3 has gotten better. BO1 and MW3 are the only old CODs I play btw.

Right now Call Of Duty MW2 (2022) IS £15 IN Cex. All the Call of dutys are Alot cheaper in Cex. Great video!

This sort of thing is why I kept my 360 and games. I knew one day it would come in handy for something like this, I don't have to worry about buying the games again, or the small input delay the One/SX has cause of the 360 emulation, Xbox 360 is the best way to play these games, hands down.

Yeah I’m fucking pissed I got rid of all my 360 stuff, I even sold the rockband setup I had. I had every cod and this input delay BS sucks plus the new controllers aren’t meant for these old games it just feels different, could be cuz I’m older but it feels different

Hey I was at my boys house yesterday he had World at war for 360 it was working fine in the east coast but I’m kinda thinking but mw3 and a ps5 idk if those old cods seem worth it

Difficult to say at the moment they have alive player bases mainly bo1, bo2, MW2 and MW3 its when they come to game pass it will be worth it. If some issues are addressed as well would help but still a bit here or there at the moment. Servers went bad a week ago but seem to be fine again I would hold off and see how it goes for now but if you want a PS5 and MW3 that'll be awesome especially if it's your first next gen console but I guess it's a current gen console now especially with other games you can get on the PS5! 😁

I managed to get Bo1, Bo2, Mw2 and Mw3 for £15. I play them on series x and they run fantastically!

Don't forget to mention the input lag...soooo bad. I guess I got used to it but aiming is still a struggle.

Will also be because of the deadzones pretty sure all old cods are default 0.10 compared to nowadays being able to lower it and most would have it on 0.05 or lower will make it feel worse of course still manageable but takes some getting used to 😅

just got my mw3 account hacked i was only level 5 then suddenly i was level 80 with everything unlocked so now theres no point playing

You can always reset your stats to level 1 with nothing unlocked

This is what I'm worried about currently I can still grind currently but one hacked lobby and boom I've lost my ability to grind these games like I want to especially OG MW2 as I never played it until this year 😅

I would wait until game pass but if you can get them for less than £10 I would say yeah especially if you're only looking for one specific old cod like bo2 etc if you're wanting more than 1 definitely wait for them to come to game pass will be worth it in the long run might even be better servers and hopefully less of a hacker problem by then 😅

I would only recommend buying MW2, Bo1 and MW3, as Cod4 and WaW are still pretty dead in all honesty. Bo2 however, I woud love for that game to be fully playable but the reallity is no one should buy that game because of how unplyable it is from theatre mod infections. Before any Cod game goes on Game Pass, both Activision and Microsoft need to do maintenance and security updates on all of these games, especially Bo2 since you do not need a modded console to mod on it. Kinda sad that only 3 of the 6 "golden era" games are actually consistently playable.

Soon my dude nothing concrete at the moment but is all waiting on this Microsoft acquisition of Activision and would probably be as soon as that is done believe the next hearing is sometime in October I believe but hopefully soon my dude! 😎

Microsoft have said that it won't be for a long time even if the deal 100% goes through, due to licenses etc. So you'll be waiting a while.

You are correct nothing officially has been said but with Microsoft working on the acquisition of Activision and being pretty close to being done now I can't see a world where Microsoft doesn't get all the old cod games onto game pass. Maybe not all at once but definitely something I see them doing when they officially acquire Activision. Not to mention the random servers/matchmaking fix they went 4-5 years without working properly and suddenly have been fixed twice in the last month so I definitely see something happening and it is of course speculation but one I can't see not happening.

I have to say no for now. Bo2 is sadly still completely hacked with modders. MW3 as well and you get kicked of the servers for no reason. Bo1 is hit or miss. Hope Microsoft makes a huge patch for the hackers when the games end on game pass.

Haven't seen this myself but would not be surprised if that was true but I could only see that annoying people more than anything the old cod's just need to be released to game pass all at once in my opinion

At the time of writing, I've still not heard about whether or not these games will come to game pass and they're still being charged at those same prices on xbox live. Vanguard is two years old and is being charged at the same price as the upcoming mw3 release (£69.99). Advanced warfare is 8 years old and £54.99 I think people need to stop buying the old games, in order to force Microsoft and activision to lower their prices.
