Bought an etb and a 3pack at target, pulled two of my chases with Bulbasaur and Hydrapple. Might buy a booster box, otherwise I’m done. Back to twilight masquerade!

Got a booster box of Stellar Crown and in the second pack was Squirtle 148/142. Can't complain.

Its not a bad set, but I will probably buy a Booster Box to keep sealed and thats it…No desire to open it really.

Grabbing the Japanese IR sets for less than a booster bundle has really been a game changer for me. Takes the pressure off big time.

@@Christmess3 the illustration rares. I guess they’re called art rares in Japan though. So you can get all 12-13 of those for a set for less than an ETB typically.

I agree with you, this set is a lot of fun to open and I really want the Galvantula SIR, it looks amazing.

Bought the set back when it released in Japan. Pulled every card and then some, may not have as much value than English but the infinitly better print quality than English is always a win in my book. Got a case of paradise Dragona on its way as we speak and supercharged breaker to follow next month.

"just" a booster box and an etb? Is that really below average for a set to some people? I've never opened a non-Japanese booster box as they're so expensive, yet so many people I hear "only" getting one booster box per set. Must be my luck for not living in the US I guess.

I got lucky and pulled SIR Terapagos, Bulbasaur, and ultra rare Galvantula ex from a 6 pack booster bundle from Walmart! Was a mini god box 😊

All I want are the squirtle and bulb. I went to a toy shop and traded some old toys in for an even trade for a booster box. Got squirtle and terapagos sir, along with some other hits. Hardcore debating if I should keep going for that bulb or stop

I'm so happy this main set is smaller than all the last ones.😌 I think sets these days have way too many cards in them. 😵‍💫 Like in Paldea Evolved i think you had 3 different versions of Lechonk and Tinkatink, and 2 versions of many other base pokemon. Sure the company wants to present and push new pokemon but they couldve just do one version in each of the following sets. 🤔Not only is 250-300 cards per set way too much but also unnecessary.

Definitely not going to pull most of the set in one or two boxes. The hit rates on the SIRs and IRs are not high. Done 2 bundles a Booster box and an ETB and still dont have an SIR,the bulbasaur, or most of the other IRs except the squirtle

The SIR are about 1/70. So they're a nice to have but I don't ever expect to pull one

I just want the stellar exs!! Any thoughts on Japanese vs English? Seems English is the more desirable language but Japanese tend to have better quality and more detailed foil effects. Or speaking solely on value does it all come down to what’s harder to pull?

I like Japanese more for the quality. Compare giratina Vstar gold card in PSA 10s or bgs black label (the best a card could possibly be) for both languages there is no comparison. Japanese blows English out of the water. In my opinion AR/IRs are easier to pull in Japanese but SIR/SARs are easier to pull in English. However an SAR pull in Japanese is almost guaranteed a 10 whereas the English version is much harder due poorer quality control. Investing? Honestly English rules the market. So are you more collector or more investor. Pure investors should go English, pure collectors should go Japanese but since I fall in the middle I get mostly Japanese. I hedge a little with English product
