You are wrong. The 2.0T Quattro 0-60 is 5.5 seconds not 7. Also the A4 is not based on VW Jetta. Jetta is based on front wheel drive MQB platform. A4 is based on MLB platform the same platform is used for A6/7/8 , Q7/8 and Bentley Bentayga.

DO NOT BUY A 330i over the A4. I"ve owned both the 330i xdrive and the A4 Quattro, and the Audi is by far the superior car. I regret going to the 330i: 1. Dual Clutch + Quattro provide the best launches I've ever experienced. Smooth and powerful. Much better than xdrive system/8-speed (forget the RWD 330i) 2. The A4 (and most Audis) are highly tunable. It runs a Unitronic tune (58+hp) ALL DAY long, mashing the throttle, heat or cold. The 330i higher compression b46, is known to struggle with tunes. I have tried multiple tunes (JB4/Dinan/Bootmod/Custom/DME TUning) and all of the tunes are very unstable over 30+HP tunes. There is a lot of timing pulls (around 3.5 degrees). And Audi doesn't compromise reliability as Consumer Reports gives it very high marks.

@@SD-oe7jq Well it has been custom tuned by both Cary Jordan Tuning (93 Tune) and Navardi Tuning (E85 tune), who are both, often considered, the best B46 tuners. I have also had a Bootmod OTS, Dinan OTS, DME Tuning OTS tunes. Bootmod Stage 2 feels weak IMO (maybe 20whp gain). The Dinan tune didn't feel like ANY gain in power. DME Tuning's OTS map, felt very quick initially, but the tune is not stable (pulls tons of timing). Both my custom tunes are a noticeable improvement over stock , and make driving more enjoyable, but still doesn't feel as strong as the Uni tuned Audi A4. At higher speeds 60-100MPH (verified 6.3 seconds), it is a bit quicker than the Audi, however, at more conventional speeds it is lacking - in day to day driving (under 55 MPH) even light-to-moderate throttle, the 330i feels lazy with weak throttle response. Today, I Dragy verified 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds, which is little better than stock (5.6s). THe A4, with it's Quattro and Dual Clutch did 4.6 s, 0-60 times, all day, and THAT was on just a Stage 1 tune (well before timing even becomes an issue) - the A4 made a verified 285whp. My custom tunes on my 330i are supposedly around 300 whp, but even if that's true, there is only modest improvements in verified high end acceleration numbers- on the low end acceleration, there is even less improvement.

Don't like the reliability of the newer Audis....kinda like Fiat. The Screen position is ugly. And the Engine was co-developed with Toyota.....Hands down BMW. Plus I heard people in the same engine in the other vehicles with the same engine in the X are getting 38 MPG!

If you are engine tuning, then definitely go for the A4. Lower compression engine, can handle more aggressive timing, and stay well under it's knock/internal limits. I've owned both cars and the 330i B48 engine is very hard to tune, even with custom tuning, most gains are very boosty and little changes to timing are made. On the other hand, the first tune I tried for the A4, was just an Off-the-Shelf tune, Unitronic Stage 1+, gave me 50hp with very aggressive timing, and the car was so responsive it felt like a luxury-f1 sedan (0-60 dropped to 4.6 seconds). Also note the stock A4 turbo is good for 390hp with a stage 2 tune. To go above 320whp in the 330i, you need to upgrade the turbo. That being said , if you are not tuning, these two cars are very comparable overall.

I really don't like the new BMW outsize kidney grill. It's too Kardashian. Whereas I thought on the previous model the grill design was perfect. In the comparo you skip fuel economy and price of the vehicles? I'm guessing the Audi with the larger engine has better fuel economy and is ~7% cheaper? The interior of the BMW does look very luxe.

And from my personnal experience BMW have downgraded like crazy in the last 10 years VS Audi wich are improving their brand like crazy in the last 5-10 years. My 2017 A4 has got no problem at all so far and same goes from the people I know who have Audi's. BMW is only holding because of their name and their past.
