@@Spleenpuncher8 I was lucky enough to play it with the fan translation and man; it really is the culmination of the 2D era of AA. So many incredible moments and characters that are found *only* in that game that it really makes the first Investigations game feel like a prologue lol. I hope you enjoy!

Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright was a WILD ride...and that final court confrontation...magnifique! Yeah, a LOT of the explanation at the end was completely ridiculous...I have no defense for it. Best part was Professor Layton stating with authority that (spoiler) doesn't exist while "Nick" & Maya just glance at each other like, "So, should we tell him, or...?" Absolutely needs a re-release on modern hardware, just so EVERYONE on the planet can play this magnificent title. Oh, and yes _Ace Attorney Investigations should be played,_ too.

I joined the series when the PW Trilogy released on consoles, so I didn't have to deal with the content drought longtime fans did, but I still hoped for a new release at some point. All these ports and localizations have given me more hope than ever that we will see a new game (I'm hoping for Athena Cykes: Ace Attorney).

I think Japan just doesn't know Mexio or Spain, and other Spanish speaking countries exist. Not to mention, for Nintendo tournaments in North America, you have to be like 14+ in America and Canada, but 18+ in Mexico. I don't speak Spanish myself, but I've just always thought it was weird how that is

This was a pre-order on sight. I love these games, even the first one that I find super underrated. Playing as Edgeworth (with Gumshoe again) is awesome, I love the game mechanics, and the presentaion lends itself to a bit more variety in locations than the main series.

And It hurts even more to me cuz in Megaman Legacy Collection 1 did had portuguese for Brasil but Megaman Legacy Collection 2 doesn't like wtf. Capcom could just update their previous collections to add more languages like what MDHR did with Cuphead where in 2019 they added some Languages

I need to like play through the whole series again. My like play of the games is so weird. Like I finish the first game and basically had the story memorized. Second game I liked play until the last case then stopped for some reason. Then I have vague memory of like the 3rd game and then played apollo until like last case as well then stopped. Oh and did play first investigation some while later. Its all a bit jumbled lol.

I played the fan translation of AAI2, and these are both great takes on the Ace Attorney formula. The story in AAI1 is a bit underwhelming and hard to feel emotionally invested, but the soundtrack is top tier and gameplay for the most part knocked it out of the park (all my homies hate Alba). AAI2 had a much better story overall and expanded well on the gameplay, but tbh I feel like the soundtrack came in second place here.

The focus is on investigating cases. There is always somebody who gets wrongly accused by the rival investigating party, and there can be multiple of them through a longer case, so you do get to defend people. Only the case doesn't always end even if they are clear out of any suspicion because you still have to get to the true culprit.

It took like a decade for dgs and aai2 to be released outside japan... it's officially over That old sprite style is how all rereleases should have been, the "newer" art that is supposed to look good only made the stellar spritework look more flat and stale.
