Of course the Longevity issue of this game is going to be concerning. Specially for console players because, sooner or later Modders will find their way into the steam version of the game and the Mods will improve the longevity of that version in particular (which is one of the key aspects that kept the originals alive during all these years)

Long time xbox battlefront 2 player here. Iv played with fisto and ventress for years(dont like either of them lol). Hero assault is also avaible on more then one map already, not all of them so that is a nice addition. The online being brought back on xbox is what im most excited for. If i had a computer that could handle it id try joining the 100+ person servers on gameranger.

I preordered it. I played both original games on the PS2 when I was a kid and haven’t played them in nearly 20 years. I know playing solo and the story stuff is enough to keep my interest today since it did when I was a kid. Playing online is going to be a completely new experience and I’m looking forward to it!

PS5 I remember, around 18 years ago 😬, loving Battlefront 2 so much more than 1 when they were originally released. I liked 1, but 2 was such a big step up imo, it’s something that seems like developers aren’t as good at anymore. Anyway, it’s been so long there’s a lot I’ve forgotten, but I think if the EA games had stuck with a similar formula as the originals, they wouldn’t have had some of the problems & criticisms they got. If you’re gonna remake a game, leaving out the things people liked most about them is a formula for failure. I think that letdown & their lack of interest in making a 3rd has fueled fans excitement for this release. I debated for a week & finally preordered last night. Cant wait for midnight!.

Been a veteran since the original game came out in 2005 on the OG Xbox. I even learned how to mod the game on PC when it became available on steam some 15 years ago. Interesting news, I still cant see why I heard about this 13 march, a day before a release. I hope this game will live a long, playerfull life. The only improvements I consider to be done are better graphics (some kind of bf2 2017). Also I really wish this game to be hard supported by community of other battlefront games, especially those, who make thousands of mods for these games and launched kyber servers for bf2 2017.
