Other than aesthetic, I don't think there is a huge reason to get the new one. Especially 9 is a very very good boot and they will probably do sales when 10 releases. As someone who used Superfly 9, it is one of the best AG cleat I ever used. Simply excellent.

I got the AG version and found it smaller than the FG. Too small even though I wear my boots really snug. It’s an amazing boot - I regret not getting 1/2 size bigger…

Idk if they made adjustments but from my perspective the superfly 9 is a very old boot like from 2022 or smth which is 2 years old so idk but jtd just my opinion i think there will be some huge changes like the air zoom unit n upper n stuff not just asthetics

I am definitely in the camp of “I want it and I can afford it”. Will be getting the Vapor 16 as soon as they release. Curious to see how Gripknit will implemented into a Mercurial. It’s floating around that this version of Gripknit is going to be the thinnest knitted upper ever on a Nike boot. The Vapor 13 was pretty thin as far as knitted speed boots go. But with Gripknit there wont be that layer of thin plastic overlaying the base knit like we’ve seen on other knitted uppers. At first I was kinda “ehh” when the leaks first came out, but lately it’s switched to an “oooh yeah” as the picture has become clearer.

Never been a fan of Mercurials, but could always appreciate the consistency from nike to improve and make a better boot year upon year.

Personally, I’m on pair #2 of the Superfly 9 elite AG (champions league, blue colour) and both have cracked down the soleplate, after not many wears. On top of that, the plastic protection guard that the ag’s have near the toe is coming off/flaring out. I believe the quality is very poor, and it could be just the AG version. But none the less, the Superfly 10 might, hopefully, be made better. I’m not the only one this has happened to, I’ve seen many comments online about it. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I asked my sister in Orlando to check the nike outlet there. The pro version black ones are selling for $49. If you dont mind a pro version, thats a steal. The outlets in Colorado dont have any ._.

The next generation is going to have grip knit which I love about my gen 1 GXs. In my opinion the upper on my super fly 9s isn’t my favorite due to it feeling really stiff. The grip knit just molds to your feet and have a padded sensation and super grippy.

Honestly never liked the current gen mercs. I don't know, it just seems not hardcore enough. It became wider, and the stud pattern I didn't like tbh. Plus the upper was significantly thicker than other competitors. But the new one seems to have a more old school bladed stud patter, and a thinner and light upper. So the new one is hopefully going to. Be more hardcore of a speedboot
