Should you buy this giant smart display? My Echo Show 15 Review.

Great review! I currently have a Fire Tablet mounted to my kitchen wall but I think I’m going to upgrade to the Echo Show 15. Kitchen tasks suck less when I can watch videos, or listen to audiobooks, music and podcasts. I’m an Apple gal and I didn’t know I could access Apple Podcasts & Music so I’ll definitely check into this. Thanks!

We have one mounted of the wall in our bedroom where is replaced a TV set and Echo show that were sitting on my dresser. Mounting the 15 on the wall saves a lot of room. In my opinion the 15 makes no sense unless it is wall mounted, as it takes up too much room. An Echo Show 8 makes a lot more sense on a table or counter. The factor which differentiates the 15 from the other Show devices (and which make the 15 a much better value) is the addition of full FireTv capability. Being able to use the 15 as a full featured small TV set with access to almost every streaming app makes the 15 a true value, especially when it is available at Woot for $149! I wouldn’t buy this as my first Echo device, but anyone who has an Amazon smart hime set up should give it serious consideration. The ability to check our commute time, calendar, weather, and turning the coffee pot before we even get out of bed is very convenient!

In my opinion, Amazon went backwards on the software. When released. It connected to Fire TV Recast. Since update to Fire TV ability, it no longer connects to Recast device. No more local TV or recorded TV. Deal breaker to me.

@@TechnologyPaul I chatted with Amazon Tech Support and when I asked the question on why I can't connect to my Recast device any longer? They replied "you don't need it anymore since you now have Fire TV on your Show 15". I then asked how to watch my local TV and recorded TV? I got Crickets.

the google nest has the same crappy ac cord like an iphone, that white rubbery silicone that tears and frays in just a few weeks. all google products cords. i guess they use the same apple supplier manufacturer. why does every company ahem samsung ahem want to be apple. we would buy apple to begin with if thats what we wanted.
