Should You Get a Keratin Treatment in the Summer? | Keratin Treatment on Natural Hair

as a high porosity girlie, my hair truly thrived when I had a keratin treatment 🥰 it made wash days so easy & I was retaining sm length! I stopped doing them not realizing that the keratin made my strands pretty strong so I plan to start keratin treatments again 😇 the pros/benefits are just tooo good!!

I recently had a 30 day keratin treatment....Loved it!!!! My hair is soft, and it maintained my body and shine. I wrapped it nightly and it lasted about 3 wks before I washed it. And my hair still the effects of keratin after the wash. Good info. Thx. 👍🏾

I’m thinking about doing the GK keratin treatments at home. It’s formaldehyde free and doesn’t require the use of heat i believe!

I just looked into it! It seems like a great product! It does look like you need to use heat after you've washed it out but doesn't seem like as much heat as other keratins!

Ohhhhh noooooooo! I would def look into an at home keratin option! Or other salons, that price is crazy to me!

If people are considering using keratin at all, they should know many of these keratin treatments have been tested and contain formaldehyde. Visibly, I dont see the difference between just silk presses say every month for those who dont care about losing natural curl pattern. Of course to each their own but alot of people got away from relaxer to avoid chemicals, and may not realize keratin treatments do not just contain keratin.

Not all contain Formaldehyde. You just need to do your research. I’ve just bought one by a brand called ANSWR that’s formaldehyde-free and is super easy to use compared to other keratin treatments.

@@winniemutengwa9725have you heard of GK keratin! Subrena on KZbin uses it and it’s formaldehyde free too. I’m thinking about trying it!
