For a gacha game, summoners are not a good pick and that is because you are literally playing a gacha game to get a lot of strong characters and use them. Summoners make it so you are only using 1-2 characters. If someone finds that fun and challenging, that's fine. But most people wanna enjoy all the operators they pulled for, not just one.

@@lynling7830 User skill doesn't really matter with ling TBH, at least with the S3, all she does is spit out fast redeploy mudrocks so if its not a rush map she can happily solo without even needing to use her active skill. Her S2 needs some timing to use correctly but honestly Cutter is harder to use than Ling.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there are only 4 siblings IF HG is following the chinese lore Nian family is based on the mythical creatures in chinese which represent North, East, South, West. Hence 4 Nians.. Again, IF and only HG follows the lore. Who know if they want 12 Nian siblings, it's up to them.

With Ling's S3, she becomes one of the best option for trust-farms (she could probably even do them ALONE) She's that broken as a summoner. Also if you want to see huge cool dragons dominating the enemies, she's the operator for you! She's very easy to use, with a drawback of her summons costing a lot of DP, but that won't really be much of a problem if you bring a vanguard. Personally, I really want her but my nonexistent savings says otherwise :')

With all the Orundum i got now + daily + weekly + annihilation + 3 HH tix , i will have 55 pulls at best. Ling is a supporter the same way Kal`tsit is a medic. They don`t raise their supporting stats to keep up with the damage threshold, they lower the damage threshold to their own supporting stats.

If anyone was on the fence about getting her. Just know she's arguably the most broken unit in the game even when considering Chalter, and she's limited meaning chances of getting her later will be much much lower. If youre saving for Spalter or whatever, I honestly think you can spare a couple extra on Ling tbh, shes worth it unless you actively dont want her because of how strong she is. Edit: She is a strong unit but every unit has drawbacks, as a summoner her biggest is taking up deployment slots, that could go to other ops you want to use. There are ways to play around this so you can still enjoy your other ops and her (like using the summons as emergency blockers when other ops die), but if thats not your cup of tea thats fine. Her limited nature just makes her much harder to get, so it may be nice to have her around if you ever change your mind. Ultimately pull for and play with whomever you want, however you want. As long as you're having fun.

She is not even top 3, but anyway problem with Ling is you are not allowed to use almost any other units when using her. You are literally playing a gacha game to acquire new units and use them. What's the point of using 1 unit that doesn't allow you enjoy the rest of your units?

Its not optimal but someones done the math and she can out dps both of them. If you dont like Ling dude its cool, dont pull for her, but opinions like that arent even accurate and could trip someone up who wouldn't know better. Yes she uses up deployment slots, she's a summoner, go figure. Her summons are comparable to that of Monst3r and Mudrock in terms of stats, while having higher block, hitting all enemies at the same time, and also the effect of the active skill. With her s2 she can be a burst dps with binds, or with s1 create tanky arts guards. And if I really really want to nitpick, top 3 in what? Arknights has so many niches, so many different ways to play, that there are different Metas. Even opertors who arent as strong in general content are sometimes very strong in CC, IS, or Event stages. So is she "not even Top 3" in general content despite the fact she can solo damn near evey stage in the game (I think its like 10 she can't, out of 200+). Is it IS which people have said she makes it so easy its boring? Or are you talking about Coningency contract because she doesnt show up often. Contigency contracts, being a mode where meta operators like Blaze dont even perform well past a certain point, but Ling despite not being used much, on record has been used in a **Max risk CC clear with only seven ops**. Are you talking about DPS where she has the potential to out DPS the top 2 units in the game? Or are you talking about versatility where you'd have to ignore literally everything I said previously. Im trying to be respectful and not say anything rude, but either you dont know much about her or youre ignoring facts to confirm a bias. She's busted, plain and simple. The literal only thing that would sollidfy her more without breaking the archetype's bounds was if she had true damage. Idk what metric youre using to base that "Top 3" thing on, but you do you. I only suggested she's worth pulling for especially if you're on the fence. Youre coming off as tying to convince people not to pull for her, but in your own words "Its a gacha game" so shouldnt you let people pull for and use whomever they want to?

You get one free 10 pull to use specifically only on Ling's banner, and you get a free daily pull each day so you should be able to get 24 free pulls if you log in every day during the event. Additionally there is free orundum available during the event so it's likely you can do at least 30 pulls on the banner. If you got the in-game rewards in the mail they sent after their 2,5 anniversary live stream then I think they gave something like 4 single headhunting permits. If you do daily and weekly missions this and next week then that's enough orundum for another 4 pulls. This means you shouldn't have much trouble doing close to 40 pulls or more during the event even if you just recently started saving. They have been typically very generous during the limited banners. I hope you can get Ling. Good luck! I've been saving for her for months so I already know I will get her but I hope that those who also want her can get her. She seems like she could be a really fun operator to use.

Limited operators use normal materials for promoting to E1 and E2. The only thing that would be limited to this event would be her potentials because that requires you to pull her multiple times and, well, it's a limited banner but honestly pots are eh.

She IS that awesome. But as a new player, consider this : 1. Can you E2 and lvl ling to.. like, E2 50ish? Her dragon's defense atk etc depend on ling, so it will be sad if your dragons died too fast beacuse your ling is under leveled. 2. Can 'your' ling actually solo some stages or will you still need myrtle and a healer to support ling? 3. Can you, instead of pulling for ling, just borrow it from someone else? 4. Can you endure doing 1000ish of stages, seeing the same operator, the same dragons, and hearing the same voice over and over? Ling is awesome and can do so many jobs at once, but there is some case where you need constant high damage (look up lane holder), self sustain (ops that can heal themselves), constant fast emergency replacement and meatshield (gravel, fast redeploy), burst damage (stupid high damage in a short time), PHYSICAL burst damage (ling's main skill only deal arts damage), wide burst area, and finally, survivability (where you need lots of heals and protection from damage, like red mist stage), and i believe there are so many operator that can do those job better than ling or case where ling cant do what they can do. She is no doubt a great operator, but unless you can raise her to E2 lvl 90 the moment you get her, you will realize there will always be moment where you want ling to do more than what she is capable of doing. For the first example, she cant heal herself and if ling died then all of her dragons will also gone alongside her and its over unless someone can cover it, meaning, an actual team instead of ling solo. I said all that but i myself want to get ling, because that big dragon looks frigging cool and i already have the right people for the jobs (ptilopsis, perfumer, gravel, silverash, mountain)

I JUST GOT HER! I used the free daily roll and one of the single headhunting ticket, got a second copy of Jackie and Fang. Then I used the Free 10 pull ticket everyone got. Got a first copy of Podenco and Kirara, 2nd of Arene, bunch of 3 stars. BUT the final 10th pull was Ling! Only 12 pulls! got 3 new Operators and 2 second copys. I spent the last week building up originite prime from 42 to 100 after doing all the event stages. pushed from 5-3 to 6-1, did all the Challege stages up to chapter 4 and half of ch5, some of the past event stages. I planned on doing 2 more 10 pulls with my primes, now I'm getting some skins.

Remember; Each summon has almost the same stats as Mudrock when Ling is at max level. So essentially, she has like 8 (depending on what skill you use) fast-redeploy Mudrocks that can be BUFFED.

Saying Ling is "broken", in my opinion, is an understatement. She is "game-changing" - should be put along with the BIG ones like Surtr and Chen alter. Put aside the future module buff she will receive, Ling with her lvl 1 module is enough to solo most of the main story stages which means you can trust farm your operators like never before. And if you don't have meta Rougelike operators like Thorns, Kal'tsit, Pallas, then Ling should be a must-pull just for pushing the Rougelike mode's content, she will be easily carry you on one through four floor, you just need snipers to back her up.

my friend believe that Ling is as broken as Chen alter and Surtr and since I'm have none knowledge about summoner operator so I'm not so sure about his opinion. So can anyone confirm for me that ;-; is Ling that broken ?

@@FrostByte262 well after I borrowed my bro's Ling I must admit :/ she truly an one-girl army since she actually have entirety dragon army for herself ( in my opinion she like's a combination of Daenerys Targaryen and Zhuge Liang (Kongming) - one of the greatest statesman and military strategist during the three kingdom period) although she can't become the boss slayer like Surtr and Chen alter, but I don't also think the mini-boss and the others boss want to mess up with her higher from dragon.

as a supporter user, I always bring perfumer with me because she can help in healing all the summoned unit across the map. Perfumer being a 4 star unit is quite heavenly for summoner. I dont really know why other dont bring her, but I will always bring her... while I know that some didnt bring any support to maximize the showcase, I would bring to prioritize their survival more.

Ling's summons has ridiculous stats and can survive a lot of hits, not to mention she can also consistently supply summons after skill use except S2(if you can time them well). Her dragons can do well even without healing.

Can someone try convincing me that it's better to burn my Orundums on Ling's banner (which still has lots of chances of getting spooked by her sisters which I already have) rather than Goldenglow's which comes immediately after this event? I see lots of peoples shilling Ling, and it really does make me curious, but I just can't wrap my hand around Summoners other than Kal'tsit (because they never play well with other ops), and GG's map-covering, RES-ignoring, Slow-inducing, air-and-ground-targeting drone attack sure looks more fun to me.....

I am not a veteran or anything, i dont even have kal, but my answer for that is, no, dont. Ling works like kaltsit, but worse. For a 4 blocker you need 2 dragons, more time, more dp, and more dp slots. For a fast redeploy, mon3tr is simply superior. For damage, despite her dragon's huge burst its all arts damage so it will still be reduced by enemy art resistance, unlike mon3tr true damage. And the biggest flaw is that, ling rely sooo much on her own lvl to survive. In a stage where early enemies deal lots of ranged damage (or a mix of high/ground tile) if ling dies your entire run will be ruined. Kaltsit however, is a healer so al least she and mon3tr will survive much longer. So in the end, ling does need the help of medic and vanguards. Also, ling's dragon is harder to heal. Kal will still occasionaly help healing other ally but ling will just straight up stole the stage (and maybe still needed some help), or doing a supporting job by deploying her dragon here and there. So if you dont even like kal and mon, chances are you will hate ling despite acknowledging her power.

If you didnt get Ling.. you can reroll, until you get her. All acc. get free 10 pulls in all limited banner.. new acc. can easily reroll, nothing wasted
