This is a list of Operators I often use when attempting difficult stages. Sometimes I see new Doctors in the comments, so I made this video. It's just my personal opinion, but the current Joint Operation banner is not bad if you don't have those Operators. Hope you enjoy!

I'd argue that Thorns, while he's still a strong op, still sits at a solid top 5-6 for guards. Strong lane holder and good damage, but not very useful in high difficulty gameplay as compared to everyone else. He falls off at higher IS3 difficulties and I generally use Gavial and Mountain more often

I really like Shamare's 'global range' skill, great for a physical helidrop boss kill before the boss reaches your defensive line. I use Gnosis more like a cheap caster tbh.

Gnosis is "bad" because outside SSS and IS, He is very Weird slower + debuffer. He is bad at slowing mobs, He is bad at debuffing enemies, even Shamare and Pramanix are better option. But if we add attack speed buff, we will see that talent "Attack Inflict Cold" become Menace for enemies, especially SSS and IS become Trivial...

he's not that bad (i get your quotations), he just got his own niche and it doesn't really apply to normal difficulty stages. he can stun, mid crowd-control and pretty fast cycle. i'd used him for awhile when i was a newbie but now i only use him for more difficult stages like past CCs, or "kind of" stun replacement for Texas when i got unlucky in IS. I'm a little bias towards him since he's fun to use but it's fine if he's not in the top tier hehe.

@@mustafaamraan8110 IS2 Final Bosses (and I think the Sword/Bow brothers as well?) are immune to Cold/Freeze, though, which makes Suzuran or Shamare (or Saria S3) better picks for damage amplification in that mode. Gnosis shines in SSS with ASPD buffs, although with his wide range, that also makes some stages annoying to clear if he freezes enemies too far for your other DPS to kill. They'll still die, but it can take longer than it needs to. Suzuran and Shamare can debuff practically any enemy, but Gnosis needs the enemies to be vulnerable to Cold, which is probably why he's not in the top 5 despite being very strong when he does work.

Well the whole point of the tierlist in vanguard probably take in account DpS regent (because you are mostly bringing Vanguard for DP) so it actually make sense that the best (and only) Flag operator is the unit that goes first in the tierlist. All the other spot are totally better units when the Dp quick regent is irrelevant but you want big Dp regen anyways. I will said that the devs more often than nop put quick dangerous enemies in the first wave on hard stages so Myrtle value kinda deminish on certain maps.

The list is for hard content mrtyle is a 4 star that's easy to get -2 from + max potential, instant skill with bagpipe, while saileach may be a 6 star but she offers -DP deployment on the next operator+ her 3rd skill with her fragile is pretty effective for hard content, Elysium is good don't get me wrong his better with snipers obviously. Chongyue is mediocre, his good but not broken, needs insane set up , hell probably be dead in hard content before he even gets his skill going , you have to baby sit him hard. Mountain is good don't get me wrong but again in hard content you want someone that can immidietly burst and big damage on demand TYPHON ISNT IN GLOBAL YET

I like using her as a weak ST healer on maps where she doesn't take chip damage (poison / lots of ranged enemies) and just chucking Mon3tr towards groups of enemies with it's stun module to just self destruct. It's really nice in IS#3 to help stun those low-altitude hovers and bring them to the ground. She is also amazing as a laneholder with her other module, it's just a nice change of pace when I have other strong operators who might need some healing support and I don't need the tanking (again, IS#3 mostly).

This days when I try challenge modes/hard contents or bosses for the first time as an En cant read enjoyer . My squad would be Flagpipe, Mudrock, saria, chalter, a sniper, eyja, texas alter, SA and nightingale. The extra slots is filled depends on the stage. If I fail , then I bring surtr, mylnar and kal. If I somehow fail again then it's time to read. If all of the above fails and have a tight schedule irl, then I would resort to guides :v

Myrtle are very expected But rather than sailech i'll put Elysium instead. cheaper, more widely used, and has very versatile S2 with strong debuff and great invisible reveal.

I'm in minority but i like using Sailreach's skill 2. She gives dp nearly just as fast as her s1 but she also gives mudrock and reapers heals while at it.

You are missing the point on why saileach is more used than Elysium in hard content, fragile is more versatile on her skill 3 + she decreases the DP of the next operator you deploy NOT JUST SNIPERS it's more versatile than Elysium skill 2 wdym? invisible reveal for hard content is not needed when we have Ines for that and it's permanent, the slow is irrelevant when both skill do it but saileach's comes with a stun and damage on skill 3 with a way Better uptime. Saileach's 30% fragile is more effective as a damage buff to all sources than -35% defense on 4 enemies,

@@kek_9866 you forgot the part where fragile are not stacking and only 10 second( ely s2 are 15 ) Sure we has ines now for just invis reveal( + a slight slow) but Elysium also packed with -60% movement with debuff which make it still usefull even on pyrolisis. Also they are Vanguard, so 20 DP that come with it is huge compared to only 10 DP

Saileach DP generation is litterally ignored because we have agents like cantabile and Ines/mrtyle + bagpipie, you don't just bring saileach alone I mean who on earth does that, Elysium only decreases SNIPER DP cost while saileach decreases everyone after her, She straight ups makes mrtyle cost 6 dp, deploy saileach then myrtle immidietly after. Who on earth are you slowing for 60% ms how does that change the playing field what boss in hard content gets affected by that anyway? Fragile doesn't stack obviously but does that matter when ur amplifying all damage types? Not just defense debuff is helps with true damage and arts damage that's 30% damage increase on all sources, Not TO MENTION THE UPTIME , ELYSIUM skill is on a 30 SP second activation! AND IT ONLY AFFCETS DEFENSE , sure it last 5 seconds longer But SECOND ACTIVATION SUCKS ASS BRO , WHILE SAILEAH it's on a 20 SP cost AFFECTING 3 damage types while it last for 10 seconds the uptime is BETTER my guy, 20 SP COST IS BETTER THAN 30 SP COST, seriously,

Stainless very under-rated. Easy to use and trivializes a lot of mechanics through range extension. Buffs laneholders. Gladiia + Laurentina + Skalter combo is insane.

lumen only provides heal and cleanse (rarely used tho) meanwhile nightingale provides res, eyja for elemental, ptilopsis for sp, reed alter and kaltsit for dps (true dmg for kaltsit)

If there is nothing to cleanse then his skill becomes infinite duration self-buff with insane range and with module also no more dmg reduction on further targets. He is an insanely powerful st healer. Yet again he, eyjalter and nightingale are the go-to healers on CN for a reason 🤔

Some of these lists look strange, late game scene does not make much impact already, not sure why rosa and fiametta is on the list, and weedy is on the list but not gladiia. Weedy is so niche she's basically used for memes. The one for guards are all burst dmg operators, but objectively mountain is much more useful than nearl alter or gavial alter most of the time. But lets be honest, there shouldn't be so many top tier operators😂.

I'm struggling to find a use for Lin, the shield is nice but I'd rather bring someone who can just kill enemies faster, or use Mylnar/Hoshi for taunt damage. Lee would have been on my top 5 Specialist list just because I only bring him when he lets me cheese.

Ousted by Gavialter. More damage, more survivability, more versatility, can lanehold, can even off-lane 3 melee lanes with the right skill timing, and can burst bosses with S3. Whereas Blaze is only really used for laneholding with S2 these days, and maps where her always-on extra tile reach is useful. The old tactic of putting Blaze behind a defender also falls off when Gavialter S2/S3 is as tanky as a defender but doesn't take 2 deployment slots. The tierlist seems fairly geared towards hard content (bosses, EX levels, CC, Trials), and that makes sense, you don't need OP units to clear normal content. This is why Thorns, Mountain, Hoshi aren't here, they've also fallen off in power level in harder content, along with Blaze. They're still great units and great QoL units (no need to babysit like Mlynar cycle times or Silverash redeployment), but for things like higher risk CC, they've fallen behind. EDIT: Forgot to mention that for 'peeking over the fence' situations, Blaze S2M3 does 1375 DPS, but NTR Knight's S1M3 does 1953 DPS. So Blaze's 'best' skill is worse than NTR's 'worst' skill, on top of Blaze costing more to deploy (24 vs 19 DP) and taking longer to get there (70 SP vs 60 SP). It only wins out when attacking multiple enemies, but then Gavialter wins that matchup. I still bring Blaze because I'm lazy and forget to switch skills, but she's only good for AFK and general content now. Oh, and I didn't even mention Fedex, who despite being more powerful (over 2k DPS when ramping is factored in) and having better self-sustain than Blaze, isn't even ever considered for top 5 spot, because the game difficulty has shot up since launch.
