Would love to hear your thoughts on how it stacks up as an intro adventure to PF2E in comparison to something like Troubles in Otari or Plaguestone.

I've been looking for something besides the usual 1 or 2 recommendations for level 1+ adventures for players new to PF2E, as I plan on onbooarding some friends to the system soon.

Highly recommend this one.

I do really appreciate these. With the new Year 5 (Year of Unfettered Exploration) of Pathfinder Society starting, have you given any thought on reviewing those adventures?
@HowItsPlayed11 ай бұрын
I've never been able to participate in Pathfinder Society, so those adventures aren't really on my radar. I think there's a possibility I might look into them, but that would be after I cover the remaining adventure paths.

Sounds good. But does the adventure fit the level range. Sometimes it feels weird when low level characters solve world threatening events

As this adventure is written as a replacement for Fall of Plaguestone using the Remaster rules, how jarring is the language and rule changes for those of us using classic PF2 rules?

Thank you for this! I am tempted to buy this module now, and am waiting eagerly for your second installment! This is an awesome series you have started. Thank you.

That image of the rusted armour on the beach. Where did you get it? I want it hehe 😂
@HowItsPlayed5 ай бұрын
It was made with Midjourney.

How easy do you believe this adventure would be to upscale? Can I run it for a lvl 12 group by simply replacing some monsters?
@cappilau744810 ай бұрын
This adventure is for levels 1-4. Based on Pf2e’s maths, almost all of the monsters will have to be replaced, and it could be a very different adventure altogether.

SPOILERS: My players are 2 sessions in and still don't know that they are dealing with a cult.(12 hours) They have cleared all of Stonehome (temple of gorum) except the basement, after which they will level up to level 2. In Stonehome one of my players was knocking on deaths-door and evaded it. That same chaotic players almost started combat with the mercenary group on the ship, which the book says is a more then severe encounter is to be avoided. We are having a blast. The possibilities for ANY story after this adventure is endless. If political intrigue is your thing, you could either stay in Iron Harbor, as it will need a new leader and help rebuilt it, or begin preparations for the inevitable arrival of New Thassilon forces. If maritime adventures are your thing, maybe you could become the new captain of the Swordfish(mercenary ship) or even build your own (the town has a building in which to build ships and a ship builder), religious routes are also possible. There are a lot of fallen Gorumites that either need rehabilitation, or others need to stand trial for their crimes. Highly recommend.

at this point I can say that we are going to complete the adventure next session bringing our total hours to about 40. That is with minimal roleplaying taking up time. Every group is going to be different of course. There are a few ways to continue playing, mostly with homebrewing. PC's could hop on the Thassilonian ship and head south and away from New Thassilon, possibly opening up as maritime adventure. They can also potentially stay and help Iron harbor and Osprey Cove in any shape or form. Iron Harbor is going to need new leadership, even if Lord Knurr survives. There may be some trials that need to happen to punish Vanda and other Fallen gorumites. There is a strong possibility of conflict between the linnorm kings and Runelord Belimarius with the Chikakoth Isle getting caught in the middle. Osprey Cove may also want to uproot and find new lands to escape the rule of Belimarius. Mostly homebrew scenarios, depending what the PC's are into. All this assumes they didn't fail their mission. If they failed and didn't die, Chikakoth isle may become inhabitable for the unforeseeable future, creating a problem that needs solving. IF the PC's all die, well I guess that concludes this story and you can start a new adventure with the events of Rusthenge potentially having an impact in the new adventure. I personally loved this adventure and would run it again, though I haven't run any other ones I could compare my experience to.

Will you cover Extinction Curse
@HowItsPlayed8 ай бұрын
I may, but that one will be awhile away since I want to do the 3-part APs before the 6-parters. That said, here is my brief review of Extinction Curse: I've tried running it with two groups and neither made it out of the 2nd book. Most of the circus focus is abandoned after the second book and the circus becomes simply a tool to explain the party moving around the area. Also, I felt there was an awful lot of filler material, which is a common complaint I have with the 6-part APs.

@@HowItsPlayed This is pretty much the same thing i have heard from everyone, i am trying to find some more APs to pick up (Mainly ones that have Foundry Moudles as i suck with map making etc lol) I saw Extinction Curse and was going to spend the time doing that one myself but the reviews off it make it less desireable
@BobTheArchmage2 ай бұрын
@@LyricalAbuse If you want to use older APs with Foundry there exists a module called "PDF to Foundry" which will do all the mapmaking for you if you have sn official pdf of an PF2e AP (or adventure) that currently does not have a Foundry module. It saved me a lot of preptime for Age of Ashes and Agents of Edgewatch.
