All good points. For me, the beauty of the country, the people, extremely favorable exchange rate with USD, and the moderate weather (in certain places) far outweigh the drawbacks.

Hey I am in the process of moving to Colombia now so might have to hit you up to have some coffee. You made a lot of great points, for me the biggest reason is just how nice and accepting the people are in. I also found some nice groups to help me move down there and a nice list of WA channels for social groups.
