Man I don't know how yall do it. I'm in San Antonio, I want to detail cars so bad but I don't understand how yall survive the over 100 degree days in the humidity.

Hey Oscar! Long time viewer! I finally have my shop and have questions about signage. Can you show yours or tell how you went about getting PROPER signage? I have nothing big, but need something there! Thanks boss, keep up the good work!

Just moved into a shop! I now have space to tint and detail all at once with a helper. Also with your containment Mat and vacuum where do you dump the water? It’s supposed to be sewage right?

Been killing it in my home garage!! Great and helpful video. I have a full time career and do high end detailing out of my garage on the side. I have been toying with the idea of taking it to the next level but feel pretty comfortable right now. My dream is to get out of the corporate world.Thanks for your great videos! Big fan!

@@detailforward2530 Thanks! Believe me I want to but this issue is that I make very very good money in my full time career. After 15 years I have grown bored and tired of the same thing but there’s no way I could walk away from my pay, benefits, 401k, PTO…it’s a blessing and a curse because I’m growing miserable more and more as the weeks go by. It’s not a hard job I’m just over it and want to do what I’m truly passionate about. If I hit the lotto, all bets are off! I appreciate your comment!!

Can you react to a video on the channel UpFlip about a 22yr old detailer? He goes over all the financials and stuff. Seems pretty interesting and they’re claiming 50k per month

Ok, I haven't started yet but my business will go live in a few days out of my own garage. I'm concerned potential clients may be turned off by having to drop off their car for half a day or a full day as it may seem "inconvenient" to them. (As if dropping off at a shop is any different...) Do you have any tricks to convince them all is well with this? I don't have a "waiting area in my own house nor will I consider modifying any portion of my house to do so.

I would drop my car and have someone pick me up and when my car is done the detailer will bring it back to me and he got someonw picking him up back to his garage. not the best, but it works for a lot of people

I have been running my business out of my garage since last June. It so far, has took off. I work alone and do one a day, and I am booked until July. I do it out of my garage, I have a key drop box for them to drop their keys. No one minds to drop off first thing in the AM or even the night before. Of course, running a website or Facebook/Google page with lots of reviews and pictures, helps back up your work.

@@gunsnsails thank you sir. I have been doing it part time for several years, before trying to take it full time. Honestly, it was Oscar from here, Detail Groove, that made me make the jump to full time. He gives great solid advice. You don’t need to advertise every service right away to to get started. Best of luck to you sir.

@@dasanders1988 I wish I could go full time right away. I still have a few business trips I have to make overseas to make sure all my personal accounts are solid. I'm hoping to book a lot during the periods I'm home. And I intend to start a little small while I master my polishing techniques.

Don't laugh. But do you have AC in garage😬
@DetailGroove
@DetailGroove Жыл бұрын
In the office space we do, but the warehouse, we do not. Most warehouses do not come equipped with AC. You can get AC, you'll just have to pay an arm and a leg for it (plus the extra cost to run it all day).
