Should You Play Minecraft in 2024?
Minecraft will never be the same as it once was - this is a sentence said by many of the games' fans. It is true, but it doesn't mean the game isn't worth playing in 2024.
Today, I'm gonna run through the pros and cons of modern day Bedrock and Java Minecraft and determine whether it is worth playing (and potentially buying) the groundbreaking game in 2024.

I started with MC as an adult and absolutely love it. This huge world where I can do just as I please with no rules or scripts to follow. If I want to mine, I mine, farm, I farm, etc. That's what keeps me returning for more and more. Am I the only one who love the sniffer?

As someone who has played since I was child. Nah. Minecraft has gotten better than it ever was when I was a child. There is more to do now than ever before. More blocks to create nicer palettes for my builds. And not to mention, Minecraft is fucking amazing to play solo. You do not need to give up on your aspirations to play Minecraft if your friends are into other things. You will have an amazing time.

Based on this video you're mostly playing vanilla MC. No surprise you get bored... Forget the console and the butt-ugly Bedrock edition and hop on Java Edition with the bazillion mods available. Thanks to the community at this point I don't even care if Mojang stops updating the game, I'm already having a blast just by experimenting with mods, shaders, setting up different servers and whatnot. Minecraft is not a game anyore, it's a metagame now.

I tried going back to play after YEARS. Only to be met with one of my least favorite moments in gaming, getting attacked by a phantom and knocked off of a skyscraper i was making and died... I proceeded to stop playing again. Haven't gone back since.

I remember when i was playing minecraft 1.8.9 like 8h everyday or sometimes even 12.. i was playing like that for 4 years and all i've got is wasted time and some old videos of me telly bridging and pvp

I’m rethinking of trying Minecraft again and beating the ender dragon solo. Life has been hitting very hard and I’ve some what forgot about the game. So I see this as a sort of escape

I think it’s worth playing in 2024, especially since the new update (hopefully coming out soon!) looks decent. I’ve never played Terraria, is it any good?

@@joegeevlogs Appreciate the fast reply! Maybe I will try it with a buddy then. Terraria well for me from what I've seen I could describe it as a 2d minecraft :D you go around mining and go deeper and end up in hell eventually. You keep upgrading gear, fighting bosses to enable new gear.. there is a building aspect to it, you can have npc's housed in your houses and they sell different items (from cosmetics to weapons). I'm more of a miner/fighter myself, I don't really spend a lot of time building, I just make the smallest functional house (which in Terraria needs a 4x8 space I think, a light, a table and a chair) and assign them to NPCs. Sure you can also grow mushrooms in the underground for example, but I limit myself to that and then go exploring! You can also fish and craft different food and potions to buff yourself before bosses. So I was wondering if Minecraft is also combat focused, since from looking here you seem to go mining and sometimes stumble across some mobs but you are not really getting into trouble a lot and instead do some wonderful interior design housing :D

I will be a child again. Either naturally as my brain degrades, or intentionally, as I near my 90s and realise I am only getting more intelligent, I will head to the colsest (and most reliable) drugseller, and ask "Mum, can you give me the good brain rot juice" She will respond with a price tag I can't even imagine with the current market instability, but I hope to be able to afford it. If not, there are ways around it like lying to her then snatch and run. But even then after all that, I think I'll frollick naked in the mud over mine craft, which I would have to re-purchase as I've lost the old accounts and passwords
