It is quite ironic. In most gacha games, players fear powercreep. But in Pgr, players are begging for specific characters to get powercreep. Is an... odd situation, to say the least, but considering how the character distribution works, i kinda get it.

I think it's mainly bc teams are built around elements, and are essentially only built among the same 3-4 units which gets boring. So a new character especially if they're a better alternative, is fun for people.

PGR at this point probably has the best overall character designs (not just the models btw) in gacha and it's by no small margin either. Most other games are either hit or miss even wuwa but PGR has been consistent since gen 2 started. They go sooooo far beyond just the "make em pretty" approach and it's clear how much they care about characterisation through audio/visual presentation and Qu shows this off in abundance from the posing, the weapon design, choice of outfit, the way she carries herself in her animations, VA, etc... Kuro with the 5⭐️ michelin meal as to be expected.

@Jackie_Tikki_Tavi WuWa characters have the same philosophy of design as PGR but not as complex/diverse due to the entire cast being from one specific region (china) and the lack of the machine aesthetic traits that PGR has for obvious reasons. But WuWa is the only 3d gacha other than PGR that pays immense attention to proportions as no 2 units have the same model or physique. Not to mention, animation rigs are just as good, tho not as expansive due to PGR's orb system being significantly more complex. So while I understand why you'd feel inclined to skip, I still think WuWa deserves praise for doing a great job overall so far. Plus, the new region already caught my attention with Zani...Good god she looks incredible.

Hmmm. I started playing pgr like 2 days ago and I’m in love with the game. The action is soooo good is crazy! I can’t wait to get Lucia crimson weave from the selector she is even more insane! In terms of character models I honestly think it’s a matter of preference, I kinda like wuwa or zzz models a bit more tbh, maybe because the game is older but some of the older characters have a slightly weird face, like too thin, but again, doesn’t really bothers me anymore at all considering it’s also a matter of habit. Story is a bit slow (finished chap 3) but if there’s one thing I love is that art-style that appears from time to time, and also that animated cuted scene from chap 1 (I believe). I also love the fact that for a game that has 6 years or more than that there aren’t that much characters at all, making it relatively easy for new players to eventually catch up, not to mention all the selector mechanics and stuff. I would like to know, however, if the story has ended or not, can’t find info anywhere. I believe not considering characters are still beeing released, but who knows

@Eduan_the_King glad ur having fun with the game and great timing, tbh with the schedule changes coming, ur gonna be able to catch up in no time, but it'll be a bit hectic I imagine 😅. But ye as I stated above, once u get to generation 2 of units which is Liv empyrea and beyond, the designs and model quality are just as good as Qu including all the A rank units (noctis, an A rank lightning attacker speaks volumes in that regard). But even then the older units maintain all of quality traits I mentioned above apart from model fidelity since as u mentioned, they were a bit weird since they didn't know how to model faces and proper body proportions well back then but it wasn't bad at all. And if u try some of the older units like Watanabe nightblade or even changyu, you'll be impressed by their ingame feel and sound design even by today standards. And ofc the unitframes are all amazing, including ofc the original Qu, who I'm sure you'll enjoy the character of in the story once u encounter her. If u want to take ur time trying out different units u should head to celica's class...all the units in the game are available in the form of tutorial stages for them but u can roam about and test the kit as much as u want even if u don't own them. Have fun 👍.

I think one reason for not pulling a certain character you should mention is similar to what you said for Camellya in Wuwa. Some people don’t wanna pull for brain dead characters. If you have a full qu build it’s just orb spam all the way

Qu is my queen. Ever since she was announced in the CN server back then, I was dead set to get her to at least SSS with sig and cub no matter what..I even skipped some charas to pull this off (like fire uncle)...so I'm not gonna back down on that. Solo Qu honestly looks fun, Ult spamming is braindead for most people but it's fun asl just dumping huge amounts of damage while she just sits on your opponent, and who doesn't want to see her thighs while she sits down, come on now, you'll be able to see it everytime you use her, and her sound effects along with skill effects look and sound satisfying so i probably won't get tired of using her (unlike Lamia)

Hi guys, new player here (just dl ytd), came from Wuwa, i'm not worried about powercreep but I don't know the lore enough yet to pick my waifu to invest. The test play stage made me hooked up with her ice stair ult so here my question: How much time/progression does it take for the two free to get team members mentioned in the video? The pink hair girl and the upcoming tank guy? (Sorry i'm new to this game so a lot of game term/character name overwhelms me) Are there other cheap teams that I could research on? Been trying to research lamia but tbh, the lack of content creators on pgr makes it hard for me to do my usual research (i prefer to watch multiple channels before diving in to get sorta objective view) Nonetheless, thanks for making these videos Radio.

Welcome to PGR! Unlike in WuWa, F2P players should be able to expect to get most if not every upcoming character. It's important to eventually complete all your elemental teams in this game. It takes less than a month of Dorm Commission to get enough Shards for Ayla: Kaleido. You can also currently unlock Alisa: Echo this way as well. Upcoming tank guy doesn't come out for a few months so you've got time to work on all that first. You can also get Selena: Capriccio free by playing through Recitativo di Fantasia. We have an upcoming video in the next few days you may find helpful so look out for that before you pull for any characters (besides Shukra who is definitely worth it). In the meantime, check out our site grayravens.com for info about builds and characters. Hope you enjoy the game!

For me i need 4 must have unites that are upcoming Qu Shukra 100% will get, Luna: Oblivion, Lucia: Pyroath and Ishmael: Parhelion the rest for me are ez skipable. Will see depending on resources if i can get Nanami: Startrail if not skip can aleys get her on the blue tickets selector refresh at the 2nd anniversary event. GL everyone in the upcoming banners hopefully Kuro adjust event resources so we don't feel the pain.

Remember the PGR rule: Powercreep is irrelevant, min maxing is important only for meta, pull whoever makes you happier and both dps of the same element can coexist as there's modes that requires multiple teams
