See this is why I love watching your videos. Every question I’ve ever had about disability and the constant thought of filing for disability you end up with a video about it thank you. You may not be aware but you helped so many people get through this process even if they haven’t called you for help. This video have become a lifeline for those who are scared to file hell my biggest fear is losing everything I own jest because it takes so long to get through this process honestly wish there was laws on the books that helped people who are truly disabled and struggling with their life that they don’t lose everything they have because they can’t pay for anything while filling for disability

Just wanted to thank you. I filed for disability back in early 2022. But first I watched a lot of your videos and got a lot of good advise. I collect all my paper work on my own. Print outs from my doctors, x-rays and MRI images. I even remembered you saying they will sometimes ask the same question more than once to see if you give the same answer. After I turned in my paperwork, they called me a couple times and did ask some of the same questions I had already answered so I was prepared. I gave the same answer just worded slightly different. It's easy when your telling the truth. Well I got approved in about a months time. Your videos are the best of all the ones I watched. Thanks again for all you help.

I assume most people applying already have been hanging on for as long as they can. I was lucky enough to be in a fortunate living situation when I was finally able to quit and apply. This process really needs to be easier for truly disabled people, they should not have to risk homelessness.

Yes everything you said was right. I applied for disability in two thousand and ten I was disapproved twice and finally I was approved in two thousand and twelve with a meeting with the judge in person. I had a condition caused by injuries in the military. That caused me to be on pain medication to be able to just survive. I've been on pain medication for over 20 years. When I finally put in for disability, even taking the medication. My pain would get so bad because of any movement caused my pain to start in the center of my chest and spread out to my whole body.. It was due to a rib that wasn't connected to my spine and nerve damage because of the constant moving of the rib on a nerve and traumatic brain injury and other issues. I was a fighter though. And I kept working through all those years even though being in pain but finally got so bad.I couldn't stand it anymore. I had a two foot high stack of paperwork from doctor's reports from exams and treatments and even medical interventions , similar to surgeries. The judge that I got really liked.People who had been in the military and he likes people who were fighters like you said. Like you said, it was a chancy thing and I guess.I was lucky because I got a judge who was sympathetic to my case in my condition. I did not want to put in for disability but I felt I had no choice and my wife and I talked it over. And she supported the decision in fact she told me to put in for disability. She actually had to go to work for two years to support us while we were waiting for my disability case to be approved. It was approved and we are so very thankful that everything worked out but it is not always the case for everybody. And there is a change in lifestyle where I do feel like I really have nothing to do anymore and have a bit of depression but not too bad. I try to keep busy and have a good family life. I have been on disability for 13 years. And now I'm at the retirement age for social security or already into it. So they changed my Disability. rating to retired. I'm sixty seven years old now. One thing you said that was interesting. Is that the judge wants to know if you did not have to be disabled Would you like to keep on working. The judge asked me that question and I took a few seconds before I answered, but I told him that I was very unhappy about my decision to apply for disability because I have always felt that the man was supposed to take care of the wife and support the family and that I am unable to do that now. And my wife actually has been supporting us while waiting for the decision on disability.. I told him yes , that if I was able to go back to work , I would love to and I would do it immediately. It was the truth and the judge actually appreciated my honesty and the answer. I feel sorry for people applying for disability now with the video or phone calls only with the judge. It takes out the human connection which I felt was very important in my case. For example. When I walked into the hearing I was using a cane to walk with because I could not walk very well and the judge noticed it and commented on it. These are things that are lost now because you do not have a face to face meeting with the judge. Good luck to all applying for disability, and may God Bless you.

I worked until I was fired. Couldn't get another job. Then it still took almost 4 years. I couldn't work. What cost me my job was I had a hemorrhagic stroke. I didn't tell them, I wasn't able to perform anymore. The longer you go, the higher your income on it. Now, 4 years isn't necessarily typical, I filed in February 2020 right before covid hit. So, it took forever. I'm thankful for family that helped me through it.

I was eligible for disability and another state where I’m from a stone here movie in San Antonio. I’ve been working ever since and my health got worse so I’ll apply for benefits out here. I am so confused and mentally disturbed and I’m suffering in every way. I’m waiting on an answer. I’ve been working up until this day. I’m barely hanging home. I turned 53. I barely can walk without rocking. I’m a forest. I’m in pain right now as I speak. I’m just so tired. I don’t have nobody but God

And you’re right you are so right and I care so much about the residence and including myself I would not do a certain thing like that. If I knew I can’t do it. I will let my job know and I did, but they still tolerate me because they know I mean welleven though they know I’m sick.
