Hey man got a question . I pulled my cmax bank out of my vehicle last weekend it was sitting at 15.3 i tested it last night and it was down to 1.5v . I charged it up to 12.7 and it dropped down to 12.45 overnight. Ik thats crazy low and prolly have bad cells . How should i go about finding the bad cells ? Or should i just buy a new sleeve and start over ?

What I would do is test each cell individually by probing positive and negative of each cell and seeing what each one reads. If you don't have a balancer that could be a problem also. If it keeps going down without anything hooked up it's probably a bad cell and you will be better off just buying another bank. Hope this helps !

In a wood case is a big no no. Cmax is dangerous an not worth the risk considering the cells we have today on the market make cmax look like a joke anyway

Cmax is wood isn't great, but it is compressed with metal. I honestly might sell it all and go scib

i just bought a 45ah proto bank and made the mistake of just throwing it into my car and starting it up before charging the bank. it was at 13.87 when i started it. Do you think its fucked?

It's probably not fucked, the main way to tell us unhook it from charging and see how quickly the voltage drops. If it's more than .1 or .2 in a day it might be done for.

So what I’m getting at is I’m better off with some lifepo4 cells for a basic demo daily car because I want to stay in the 12-14.8v range since I only have a single alt (4 banger problems) even tho I plan to be pushing 8k watts in subs alone

Yeah you can use those cells! Headway cells aren't a bad option staying below 14.8 volts. Pushing 8k watts you make have to have more cells in order to have a good reserve, cmax is good and cheap but not for everyone. If you start getting over 10k watts I would consider cmax
