I just bought a "beast module" from battery hookup for $341. It comes with 32 headway cells in a steel box but once you ditch the enclosure you have module with the spacer ends and copper buss bars covered with acrilic or lexan all assembled can install it in a box or not.. It's a 24v pack but they said on one side cut the center busses in half and you have 2 12 v modules. So I ordered 2 of the balancers you list on the info.

Amazing video. I really need help understanding sizing on these and series/parallel considerations. If I want to support a 10,000 watt system, should I add 3 runs of 1/0 on the inside terminals? Also, what should I get in terms of mah and other considerations for a battery bank that will support such watts. Because a Salt8k wants 3 runs of 1/0, that means 900 possible amps of flow!! Can I make a battery sized up enough to support such discharge? I really am struggling to understand required amps from a bank of LIFEPO4 cells. How many amps can this one you demonstrated support? Am I going about this the wrong way in my thought process? Just want to understand how to scale up to 10,000 watts supported by cells. Thanks for any of your time!!

Hey Parker! Love your videos. I just built a headway bank and i want to use it in parallel with my agm batteries as you did here and i would use an isolater but i there is alot of people that say not to do it, or that the agms wont even add any extra power unless the lipo4 bank drops to 12.6 at which point the lipo would be close to dead. I would think that the agm would help power a system with no issues while using an isolater. How was your experience running lipo4 with agm?

I was thinking, since you plan on building more of these banks, you should really, really consider replacing your under hood battery with one more of these banks! Going 100% lithium would be a killer setup, and you would have multiple important advantages with going 100% lithium. I know you have done a good amount of research here, so I hope you make the right choice and do 100% lithium for the Sequoia! One last thing I wanted to ask. When are you going to start making videos about new subwoofers for the Sequoia? Your electrical is gonna be really strong 💪, your new amplifier is obviously super strong, so which subwoofers were you considering for this first round? And how many subs do you want to fit in? You have so much room back there! I think it would be a shame to do less than 4. My favorite subwoofer size is actually 10 inch subs (tight, punchy bass), but I would have to suggest Eight - 10 inch subs for the Sequoia, but I also understand that's extremely expensive. I was looking at FU Audio's B stock, and they have some beefy 15 inch "1500 Ti" model subs that can definitely take 2500-3000 watts each for only $300 each. That's a good deal. Skar VXF subs ($269-$299) are really really nice too, along with the ZVX's ($329- $359). Or you could do two 15" - 18" "Team" subs from Wolfram or Resilient Sounds. So many options! I'm sorry for the stupid long comment, but I'm exited to see what you end up doing! Good luck!
@kswis2 жыл бұрын
Unless you can shield the lithium under the hood it would lose capacity really fast from the heat. Headways are fine from 32-149 deg. Then they break down internally. Even LTO cells can't handle as much heat but they can handle cold better by far. My headways have thermostats and fans. Looking into a way to keep em warm for the cold winters here.
