What I did is I just email my school therapist without my parents knowing. I emailed her and haven’t told her directly that they don’t know and I’m not sure if she does but think she’s ware my parents don’t know. I’ve had 3-4 phone calls with her so far (bc if corona) and it’s been okay. I’m finding it hard to open up because that’s just me.. everytime we make an appointment I make sure to go out with my bike as I usually do cuz my parents know I like to go for bike rides so when she calls I am on my bike without anyone. Hope this helps! I’m not sure if I will tell them anytime soon tho I almost told my mom a few days ago but it couldn’t come out yet. I was scared to email her (therapist) but I was just like “just do it and didn’t think further. She responded and first it took me few days to respond back cuz I was like “wow I’m actually doing this” and so ya

I'd always kind of felt ashamed at the thought of getting help from a therapist, but listening to you has made me realize it is a totally normal thing to do. After watching your video I decided to talk to someone at BetterHelp and I feel so much better, I'm gonna start doing it regularly. Thank you!

Thanks for the video, as far as i know, Some therapists may charge as much as $200 or more per session, but most will charge $75-$150 a session. Many therapists work with a sliding scale fee schedule, which means their fee will depend on your income level.

I really want to go to therapy and I believe it’ll help me so I’m trying to do research but every time I bring it up I feel my mom just brushes it off. Like I’ll ask about therapy because she’s said I was supposed to go multiple times but every time plans fell through.

What a quite interesting video I've found! I think mental help is what most of people think doesn't matter or is normal and that's scientifically wrong. In the place where I live, seeing a therapist is considered weird and people look you differently, because they don't know that therapist should be a normal thing nowadays! Thanks for sharing this with us! I'll be looking forward to watch your next videos.

That's probably just you believing that your troubles and feelings aren't worth to be addressed and it makes you feel even worse about the possibility of you "falsely claiming" help and therefore taking it from someone who "actually needs" it away. Feelings and thought patterns like that are proof you need therapy.
