TRUE is pushing the competition and that's good thing. I want this on all skates and I want a CUSTOM FIT for me ! I want to decide on the toe cap, the tongue, the steel etc. That's what is coming imo. So what is CCM doing when none of the 3 options fit properly? Custom in 8 days? WOW...Bauer better step up now boyz!! We are finally getting to where we need to be, CUSTOM skates for folks that never fit properly in the options available. Yesssssss! Pricing?

Any news on the skates and fit?
@cameronjones3054 жыл бұрын
@@mycrease8936 yeah the skates are awesome but I feel they don't fit quite as good as they should fit. I have some trouble in both feet when I tie the forefoot area too tight and by too tight if I pull the laces at all in that area then I'll feel like I'm having a pinched nerve in my feet about 30 minutes in to the game. If I don't pull the laces at all in that area I'm usually good though

@@mycrease8936 well I knew I was going to get the AS1's because that's the skate my foot fits in best. For goalie skates I hear True custom skates are phenomenal but go with whatever you want. Those new AS3 pros look super nice

@@cameronjones305 AS3 do look nice and might be best for my wide foot. True skates are good I hear but durability wise not so much. I hear that they break apart quickly. Looks like ccm did a lot to up there game.

Do you scan the bottom of the foot on the other side of the glass? What happens if you have a high collapsable arch? I imagine popping your foot on the glass allows you not to put too much pressure on your foot keeping the arch in place?
@myworkaccount24865 жыл бұрын
there is a way to capture the arch "corrected". I have doubts they are doing this. You need some pressure on the glass for soft tissue displacement(especially on the heel) or the skate will be too narrow. We make custom insoles and i deal with this type of issue daily. I wish i could get in front of CCM i think i could make a few suggestions that would make big improvements to their scan with zero cost to the company.

so i have a weird question, since they just use a tablet and a glass screen, why is this not being implemented in all hockey stores, the same as bake ovens, they make the app accessible to store owners where they can sign up and be a part of the ccm or bauer 3d fitting program or something, and they teach them how to do it with a little video or something, and then they send the information from the tablet to ccm and get the best recommended fit or even custom skates for those people who live in europe or asia where ccm or bauer affiliated shops exist miles away from us, where we have to travel for 4 hours via train to just get our feet scanned and get some information, i mean my lhs only told me what size i am, and even then, i found out on my own that my left foot is smaller than the right, and in order to know what width or fit id be better in i had to try on a bunch of pairs of tacks jetspeed etc. and they didnt even have the same size of every fit family so its really not making any sense why they wouldnt let every lhs have this to make it easier for us and them
@matt11b776 жыл бұрын
Are the numbers at the top of your analysis (10 and 10 1/8) your shoe size? So is it telling you to go 3.5 sizes smaller than your shoe size? I remember the "how to size skates at home" video and I think you said you were a 9EE correct?

I do not get how this is more accurate of a scan than standing upright? Pressure on the sensor plate can not be the same thus giving differente results?

Has anyone with very bony feet tried these custom molded skates? I've got the Bauer Bump (aka Haglund's Deformity) on the back of my heels and am curious if this will alleviate my discomfort.
@turbo666 жыл бұрын
Does either process factor in if you use superfeet? I've found the slight heel lift with superfeet lets me fit into a smaller skate. It would suck if you went the total custom skate build and then it didn't fit properly with your preferred insoles.

turbo66 but if you have full custom skate fit to the bottom of your foot why would you use super feet?

Mark Pacalda i don’t know how much ccm skates cost but custom Bauer’s are 1400$ if I remember correctly. If you feet have stopped growing and you were going to get 1000$ skates, that 400$ is definitely worth it.

Do they mold the skate to the bottom of your foot as well? If not does True Skates do that? Thank you!
@HockeyTutorialOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Yes they do. True does not.
@charleswild28385 жыл бұрын
True does mold to the bottom of your foot and makes the arch built in so you don't really adjust the arch with insoles.

Eddie Gauthier it scans your foot to its exact measurements and they build a mold of your foot with it then build a one piece boot specifically for you. Ask that question again and now and I’m pretty sure you’ll know your answer...

Problem: this does not put the foot in its best and most efficient posture. There are a few things to be considered such as knee to hip width distance and arch height correction. These things can easily be accomplished with this scanner but they must know how to position the feet on the glass so that it captures the foot corrected. They must also make sure the foot remains corrected in the boot. This will require a custom insole that maintains corrective posture inside the boot. a flat bottom boot will not achieve this. If CCM does this ...they will have the very best boot available bar none.
