I'm glad she's providing a balanced counterpoint and advising discretion. Other doctors are too quick to prescribe drugs and people are getting too trusting of drugs. The best solution is to demand the government ban all the chemicals that go into our food and clothing that are KNOWN to be toxic, and that are probably the main cause of chronic eczema.

That’s what my doctor said about my extreme hair loss I used to have super thick long hair, now it’s stringy and i have bald spots all over my head and hair all over my house it won’t stop falling out. My dermatologist said it was stress (I have breast cancer as well) due to the cancer but I do mindfulness meditations 3x a day to keep my emotions in check so I don’t throw my body off with stress so no I don’t think so. Then she had nerve to recommend I go back on it! I don’t think so. We gotta speak up for ourselves if we don’t want a medical procedure also remember everyone is entitled to 2nd, 3rd and if needed 4th opinions. Keep going until you find the docket that is a good fit for you.

No matter what the doctors say ALL medications have side affects. Some are more severe than others. I have had eczema for 3 months now but working my way thru this with natural means. The itching/ scratching cycle is driving me insane. But I refuse to take meds. I spent 40 years in the medical profession and I try to stay away.Drs. Are good interesting acute situations but if you have a chronic illness think alternative.

Great video. Shes so right..if your considering taking consider looking at the prescribing information on the product and call and talk to the drug manufacturer. They have a medical information support line always. Everyone's immune system is different. Some people take this product and have great results. I took it for a year and my eczema temporarily healed but I kept getting eye infections. Eventually I had to stop. And when I stopped I was covered from head to toe for 2 straight years. If you are just looking for symptom based treatment this is an option but if your looking to truly heal this is not it. Its just symptom management.

I used to have eczema all over my body, unbearable itchiness and with big open wounds on my hands and feet. It was torture and I was on the edge of just giving up. Yes, I tried everything, nothing worked. 2019 I went onto Dupixent, since than I have my life back. My eczema is not gone but it is manageable, I can easy live with it. The only side effect I have is that my eyes get infected every few month, lucky me.

Tsw is like being in a house fire. ... for a couple of years. Steriod creams are a disaster waiting to happen . No excema is as bad as tsw..i used these sparingly. I used a cream too strong for the back of my neck off and on for 1 year bit really a totall of 2 small tubes. 2. That was enough to give me moderate tsw for 1 year. About a 4 out of 10. I tried dupixant for just ecema. I took 7 total shots. It worked 💯 for me. I mean not 1 spot of rash on my body. The side effect were flush red face and mild conjunctivitis. Mild .I stopped regardless. I road out TSW symptoms for a year..it was hell. I was 95 % cleared. I had an ear infection. The drops had dexamethasone in them..now 2.5 years later im still dealing with the acute side effects of those ear drops. Just 48 hours of use..a total of 12 drops. My face became.swollen like i was stung by a wasp amd flaky. I died down a bit. Now 7 months later Ive just chose to use cyclosporin. A powerful organ rejection drug that tames your immune system down. With out steriods. Its veen around for decades. Its hard on the kidneys and you need to be tesred frequently. When you have felt like you have been on fire for almost 3 years. The dark thoughts u have are scary. I'm a 47 year old male who has never suffered any mental illness, but if you have even just bad tsw, not severe, this is a life changing experience. Nobody could understand inless they have gone through it. No doctor, no dietitian. Nobody. You become desperate. Try not speeling proplerly for almost 3 years. Its enough to drive someone over the edge.

Sorry but the alternative is Cortison, which has huge side effects. In Germany I was not able to get Dupixent, because of the fear of cost. She is just asking non sense questions. Cortison is a bandade, Dupixent goes before the inflammation so to say it stops it from starting to bleed. It may not be a cure because you have to take it on and on, but it is sure damn close.

By 4pm i was almost fainted body temperature high and sudden body aches. I went home and sleep next morning till today 2 weeks. Lower back pain, low immune, low energy, can’t workout, bloating, overall every possible side effect imaginable. no sign of effects so far they say it take time but consider it for side effects. They dont share thats why most of comments are off in videos.

Thank you SO much for this episode. I was in the middle of a horrible eczema episode and my doctor pressured me to try Duxipent. As tempting as it was, I declined. I am very wary of shots because if you have a problem, you can't stop what has entered your system. Hearing this episode reassured me that I made the right decision. I am frustrated that my doctor doesn't seem to have much empathy, interest or answers in exploring the ROOT of what is causing this for me. Do you have any suggestions on how to find a dermatologist who has a deeper, holistic understanding and/or willing to explore the root causes of eczema? It would be great to get links to the people you are interviewing. They are so informative! Thank you for what you are doing.

THIS. I’m having the same issue right now. My doctor recently got me dupixent and it has not shown up yet. I’m starting to realize that this isn’t going to be the solution for me. The solution for me is finding out what the true reason for my inflammation is. Its ASTONISHING to me that not one doctor in the 20 years that I have had eczema, has tried to get to the root of my eczema. I would love to see holistic doctors who care enough about my health to get to the root of the issue instead of throwing steroids and other drugs my way.

@@serenafite2225 SO with you on that. I almost lost my cat to the Convenia shot. It's supposed to be a convenient delivery of an antibiotic. The vet didn't even ask me first--he just gave it to her. Anyway, within hours she was listless and nearly dead. I was terrified. The only change was that stupid shot. I researched it while I watched her struggle and was mortified to find out how many animals die from it! The vets don't even pay attention to this! So basically, it's in their system for 2 weeks and there's nothing you can do but wait. She survived, but from then on, I put notes on all my pets' files NEVER to use Convenia or any other shot without my permission first. Long story to share why I'm very hesitant to use such a new medication via injection. With pills, etc. you can stop taking it if you notice a reaction. Not so with Dupixent. It may be amazing, but not enough studies--especially long-term.

It made me lose half my hair and still coming out 2 months after stopping it and it barely gave me any help in my contact dermatitis. I did call the manufacturer but they just tell you all the “great” things about it. I found online other people have the hair loss as well but it’s not listed as a side effect my poor hands I never had an issue before December last year nothing seems to help me I found on my own this morning that my dermatologist should have suggested I look at my gut health before they offfered me the Dupixent but I was and still am very severe at the ER around 4-5 times a month with an outbreak. I did recently found emuaid which is ointment with all natural (no steroids) that might help others, it wasn’t a good fit for me. I swear it’s sugar & dairy that’s causing my issues so I think it’s times to do my own gut health change, think about it……..what we put in our body is what we will get out. I do feel for the children I’ve only had dermatitis less than a year I can’t imagine living with it my entire life. I did find 1 author on a interview speak how she had eczema since a child and ended up in hospital at college due to severity and once she removed sugar, dairy & meat all her lifelong skin issues disappeared within a month so it’s definitely worth checking out before going with a very serious injection no one knows long term side effects from. Good luck to those suffering, I hope everyone can find some relief
