No problem 🙌 It was 100% meant for musicians/artists/creators :) It's interesting because I've been contacted by several people about this video on the other side (channel side). People wanting to learn how to build their own channel using free content. I'm not opposed to people promoting your content/works. That is happening all day long on un-monetized KZbin channels, TikTok, and now Reels, but it's really annoying when people want to learn how to use your content to build their brand and make money, but not pay YOU (the musician/creator). There is a big discussion about this out in the open now. Fairly compensating musicians for the use of their music in video content. The best thing you can do is educate yourself, know your value, and read the fine print. If you do decide to allow them to monetize in exchange for promotional value make sure it's a fair trade (win-win).

Awesome video! Is it a no go if they hand out the mp3 of the song to their patreon subscribers?
@BandBuilderAcademy10 ай бұрын
the act of "mechanizing" the composition in the form of an MP3 means a "mechanical royalty" is due. The laws don't mention how much was charged or if it was given away free. So technically a royalty is due in this case. You are exploiting it to earn money on your Patreon, so it is a commercial use.

Hello band builder academy. The thing is I want to start my own music promotional channel similar to lofi girl and I tried making videos but having copyright claim restrictions and i've been uploading videos without knowing all of these licenses. What can I do to get rid of the claims or is there a way to get claim free music? I really don't know where to start 😟

What do you mean "submit"? There's no button, or option ANYwhere I see here. The only option I see is messaging channels in comment section, BUT I REALLY DON'T THINK AAAAALL THESE CREATORS DID IT THAT WAY. Please tell me IN GREAT DETAIL, HOW a person submits their content? I'm really trying to understand this🤷♂️. Where? Who? When? How?

Hey do you think a campaign manger or anyone that works in organizing campaigns for politics would work good for working for a record label or be smart for an artist to hire? And Do you think anyone who works in A.R. Or marketing can easily transition to politics and work as a great fit for a political campaigns or be a great politician, get out the vote or run a great campaign themselves if they themselves was running for an elected office?

But what if the music promotion channel use third party submission form. I am talking about the LabelRadar service. while submitting on on labelradar it only asks about ownership "are you the owner of this music" and nothing else. What is your view on labelradar service? Thank you for your guidence.

You would want to read the terms of service for the 3rd party. If it doesn't address your concerns of exclusivity or monetization for your video, email them your questions. Or try to find an email for the KZbin channel themselves. If you're still not satisfied, you might reach out to some artists that have used that particular KZbin channel or service. I don't have an opinion of labelradar. I'm not familiar with it. If others here comment and like that they would like me to review the service I will consider looking into it. Thanks for the comment!
