It won't have a mass of reactors as it doesn't have intense, explosive moments like Breaking Bad or GoT, but if people want a really good show for their own consumption, this is it. Fantastic stuff. It was rare in that it grew from strength to strength after a somewhat shaky start and ended before it outstayed its welcome, just perfectly. The character development was insanely good, the pacing a little slower than some shows but worth it to stick around.

Yeah you're right, the slower more character focused story contributed to the lower viewership. And as you say it was nice surprise to see the show get better with every season. The opposite is usually the case.

@@TheChiraagG I'd say it had quite a few emotionally explosive moments. You don't have to kill people or blow things up to have big, reaction-worthy moments.

For pure nostalgic reasons I loved this show and great new actors and story just came along as a surprise. Toby Huss should be more in movies/tv, he's ever so charismatic.

Absolutely agree. Hopefully more people will watch this show, as it really is the best four seasons of writing, acting, plot development, music, character building, devotion to themes, and ultimately a satisfying conclusion, that has ever been shown on television. Halt and Catch Fire is hands down the best drama ever written for television.

Recently found it online beacuse of Lee Pace staring in it. And I loved it from the first episode! Every season is great. Each episode is with a twist. Great plot. A lot of sex, love, technology and the 80-ties :) The ending made me cry. Music is just great - the best of 80-ties and 90-ties! I recommend it to anyone. Don't read reviews on what it is about. Start watching and you will get addicted. Bonus? Lee Pace is most handsome and sexy ever !! And for those who seek women characters - there is beautiful and wild Mackenzie Davis and sweet but a also bitchy Kerry Bishe.

I remember I started watching the show because The Walking Dead was on a break. This show and another show called human also on AMC or two very great and very underrated shows. But this one in particular got me hooked from the very first episode because I love shows that take place in the 80s.
