Yeah, this guy doesn't know what he is doing, this is very sad. I had these same shoulder issues and that is NOT the way to fix it. I wish you the best but this surgeon isn't good. That biceps tenodesis you are getting isn't necessary. The biceps fix alone is a 12 month recovery (maybe 6 for you but still). Honestly, this guy does NOT know what he is doing (like most orthos). Sorry for the bad news... I bet your physical therapist told you not to get the surgery, they should have. Also, the way he is talking about so many "maybe" things isn't right, he should know exactly what he's going to do from the MRI.

Mine was about 4 months to get back to heavy lifting, and I had to get it done 2x in 2 weeks because the original surgeon botched the reattachment The biggest issue is the long head looks bad after the surgery, I wish I'd gone to see Guy Cisterinos surgeon as he's the only ortho who seems to make it look normal with the repair
