Personally I liked the new artwork from the start and still think it's looks super cool. Really happy to get the poster versions of the art. I didn't bother with the vinyl or pins. Just the discs and posters for all 5.

Make sure you check the vinyl. I’ve gotten a few records recently that were warped. There seems to be a lack of QC at the pressing plants.

Not sure why but the Halloween movies never resonated with me. I was more into Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street as a kid. I do have the Friday the 13th scream factory set which was really nice . As an older teenager i liked the Scream movies, hoping the new Scream release in January is good. I got this set. Every disc in the Halloweens 1 and 3 cases were horribly scratched though. Discs weren’t even loose in the case, just came scratched. Trying to get replacements from them, and trying to have them sent in actual cases, not just paper or cardboard sleeves.

I had to finally send them an email asking what the holdup was. They looked at my order, which was done the day they were announced, and they said they had no idea why they hadn’t shipped. Said they should have gone much earlier. They ended up getting them shipped that day and tracking shows they’ll arrive tomorrow. I’d recommend shooting them an email.

Very impressive special edition. I'm only a fan of the first movie, so I have little interest in owning the sequels. But those vinyl 45s are cool! I've had so many posters over the years that have ended up damaged or trashed that I don't bother collecting them anymore. I've ordered the Halloween 4K, and hope to have it very soon. Early reviews indicate it's a step up from the Lionsgate edition. I look forward to your review.

I’m not sure if it’s my tv or not but when I play my 4K uhd disc version of free guy, the movie shows up very dim. But when I play it on Vudu it shows up perfectly clear. Has anyone experienced this issue?

Halloween looked a lot better tgan the lionsgate version. Halloween II was easily better than the 4k scan steelbook. Halloween III while was better than the 4K steelbook it wasnt a wow better like parts 1 & 2 but the dolby atmos version blew the 2.0 dts on the steelbook. The game changer was part 4. The pic was awesome. Part V though had a real bad grain issue. The weakest. All in all a great set all with dolby atmos sound love it

DO NOT touch the groves of your Vinyl if you care about the quality. Handle the vinyl by the edges, never pinch grab. No matter what you think grease enters the grooves from your hands and thats a bad thing for when you go to play it. With grease in the grooves you're damaging the record as well as the stylus needle. Like I said, IF you care about playing it. You CAN pinch grab it by the center paper/art work.

My main complaint for the Halloween collectors edition is that the extended cut doesn’t have the original mono audio like every other version and disc has. Very disappointing and a little ridiculous of an oversight. For Halloween 2 I feel that shout has had this titles right for a long time and should have the tv cut presented in the proper framing with the proper audio. Anchor bay did that for the original Halloween and shout has had the titles far longer than they did. Very ridiculous how recycled and lazy h2 was. Halloween 3-5 I think are great and all I could ask for those is getting the older audio mixes that previous releases had to give you more listening options. Shout deserves all the praise for 3,4&5 but 1&2 are very lazy and I as a fan upgrading from my criterion laserdisc & the anchor bay collectors dvd is easily the worst edition of the film Halloween on physical media. Every other release has the original audio plus more. Only shout’s release is missing that which is like I said a ridiculous oversight by them

I know there's a 25th Anniversary DVD of the original Halloween movie. That is probably the best version in terms of Special Features. That or the rare Complete Scream Factory box set.

This also only has 3 versions of the film not 5 lol. With only 2 versions having the original audio made for the film. I buy films to watch and hear them like in cinemas not how some intern made the film sound. So yes not having the other version of the film, the multiple missing features & the lack of the original mono audio every other disc and version has is a big disappointment when this is suppose to be a collectors edition when every other edition with said title for Halloween has had at minimum all versions with the original audio. Shout just repackaged their old discs with new labels and finally out their 4K scan on an actual 4K disc. So yes a very lazy repackage that spent more money on new art than securing all they needed but since people like you will make claims that aren’t true for them I’m sure that’s what they expected
