Tom stops Bill from shooting the bear in this clip from The Bear. Grab The Bear 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition on Blu-ray and DVD at www.shoutfactory.com/film/act...
The Bear is a sheer triumph of cinema in the wild! Notable for its stunning cinematography, minimal dialogue, and outstanding animal performances, director Jean-Jacques Annaud's (Quest For Fire, The Name of the Rose) astonishing tale of wilderness survival has thrilled and charmed audiences and critics all over the world.
Set in 19th-century British Columbia, The Bear follows the story of a young cub and an adult grizzly as they join forces to survive the perils inherent in their mountain habitat. With each passing obstacle, the two bears further develop a friendship that can only make them stronger - but will it be enough for them to overcome their most deadly enemy?
An adventure story with heart and humanity, The Bear remains a breathtaking and powerful experience decades after its original release. Presented here in a special 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition from Shout! Factory, The Bear proves itself a film to celebrate again and again.

I been a hunter and trapper most of my adult life In the remote mountains of British Columbia (68now) I've always loved this movie, it really touches one's soul, I don't think I could kill another bear, I just don't have it in me anymore.....Respect...

@@robertloader9826 I killed bears for different reasons...My family and I ate most of them I tanned and used the fur, I sold Gaul blatters and feet (not the reason for killing them but might as well make use of everything possible...illegal now) We lived over 20 years off-grid in the forest..some bears would be a danger to my kids and kill my animals and had to be eliminated...don't get me wrong I respect the animal for what it is ..a bears nose is 10 x stronger than a blood hound....My dad used to say " "A man is like a fine cognac...we mellow with age""

@@mrbuck5059 Uh, a bear isn't a full on mindless killer. Even if a bear or any other animal attacked, they have a reason to. Bears are rather reclusive and docile animals, unless someone does something stupid to trigger its aggression then yes, a bear would mess someone up. It's all about learning, understanding and getting to know them better is how to keep them from showing aggression towards us, unfortunately, many chose not to do so and instead blame them for attacks and deaths on humans. I'd rather be killed by an animal, than by another human. Because an animal doesn't know any better, whereas a human should already know better. More people die from murderers, machines, natural disasters, diseases and heart problems as well as parasites than people dying from humans combined.

@@TheKaijuGamer_ well just to let you know. I lived and worked in Alaska for 5 years as a communication tower technician and I traveled all over that state. I carried a 300 Wetherby Vanguard or a Remington 7 MM with me all the time. Even to the shelter inside the compound. I left bears alone but I sure hell ain't going to get hurt or eaten by one.
@TheKaijuGamer_
@TheKaijuGamer_ 4 жыл бұрын
@@mrbuck5059 There you go, you leave bears alone and you have a gun to shoot at the ground or air to scare it off. Again, if you do something stupid, then yes, a bear will go after you, but if you just leave it be and are at a safe distance, just go on and be alarmed. Even if it charges at you, just shoot at the ground or in the air, shooting and injuring it would just make it enraged.
@afriendofbean
@afriendofbean 4 жыл бұрын
@ TheKaijuGamer_2003 They say if a bear charges at you, that you should not run or move because soon it will stop and will stand on it’s back legs to make itself big to scare you and you just have to put your arms in the air so the bear will think you are bigger than it. If you run, that will show the bear that you are weaker than it.
