Excellent commentator for the run. It's amazing how much better a good commentator makes a run.

Having only a 6 second difference is an amazing finish for this race. I love seeing close races like this, especially when it goes back and forth the whole time. Very even displays of skill up until the very end

Not all, just the part that amazon, paypal and whoever else don't pocket ;)
@WalterGirao7 жыл бұрын
I actually think they should use a lot of that money (at least 60%, but ideally all) to grow the event. In my mind *THIS is the real "e-sport"* (not the fps and mobas who tries to copy physical sports events) This would create a whole industry around the event with steady jobs and a lot of recognition for theses amazing runners. I'm a doctor, so i know how wasteful and unproductive researchers can be with donation money...
@WalterGirao7 жыл бұрын
Well... here I see players who practice a lot and friendly compete to see who is faster. why is it not an "e-sport"? We can change the "by definition" part :) speaking for myself... i find this to be WAY more engaging and fun to watch
@xcbzxv1947 жыл бұрын
So, here we have two people who competitively play a videogame in front of spectators, but don't earn enough from it to be called professionals. Sounds about right?
@xcbzxv1947 жыл бұрын
Well, humans didn't design running in order to compete with each other, but they still do it and call it a sport. Don't see why you feel the need to be forever bound by definitions invented and applied by others.

Wow, that was a perfect race. Lead changes, time difference of 6 seconds and awesome commentary. My favourite part though was 49:08. Smaugy not being able to hear the audio cues and die, yet still staying calm and professional. This is how it's done. Fantastic job by both runners, and the commentator.

Can someone explain why the order of Boss Rush effects the end time? It seems like it has no effect. (Tinker last = good / Plague first = bad ?)
@knexwiz2897 жыл бұрын
Cori Roberts it just has to do with positioning in between bosses, after killing tinker knight you end up at the right side of the screen which means you have to spend time getting back to center to kill the next boss. really it's a miniscule advantage but every frame counts right?
@sebastianwesterlund87777 жыл бұрын
Cori Roberts Also some bosses need more magic, and you get a magic refill after every second boss. Ideally you want cycles of little magic usage boss + a lot of magic usage boss. But getting bosses like tinker and plague next to each other makes magic very tight, since both of them use a lot of it. Although this is not what the runners were talking about, it's a big part of boss rush rng.
@DarthBob7 жыл бұрын
Plague Knight is a difficult fight, so fighting him first means you have less health to work with because you don't get a pickup yet. If they know Tinker's going to be the last fight, they can throw up a Mobile Gear early in order to save some time (like Smaugy did).

How did smaugy get a different color knight at the beginning? Is it some kind of cheatcode or something?
@uddagisko7 жыл бұрын
This god damn it! I want an answer to this!
@Azoolag6 жыл бұрын
Yes, both use armor color cheat codes that the community deem fine as they don't affect gameplay. Muncha you can tell as his color doesn't change after buying the Conjurer's Coat.

How do you do the hard shovel slash without doing a double bounce off an enemy?
@mistertapman7 жыл бұрын
quiet451 There's a shovel upgrade called Charge Handle that allows you to hold down the attack button for a moment and it charges the same super slash you would get from a double bounce with the Dynamo Mail without having to get that armor, except that Charge Handle greatly slows your movement, and is used as soon as you let go of the attack button (meaning you can't store the charge), whereas the Dynamo Mail's super slash does not affect movement and can be used whenever you please (although it will expire if you don't use it for a while after your bounces)
@nightcatcher7167 жыл бұрын
Every year I always hear "save or kill the animals" what game is that referring to?
@tkayube7 жыл бұрын
Super Metroid. At the end of the game there's a part where you're escaping from the planet; it's possible to go out of your way at one point to save a group of animals that helped demonstrate some special moves earlier in the game. So depending on whether "save the animals" or "kill the animals" wins, the runners will either have to save the animals or not. Obviously killing the animals is faster, but saving the animals is nicer (and is also canon).
