Wow, each campaign has a different feeling. Shovel Knight had a classic standard story. Plague Knight was a comical villain story with romance. Now Specter Knight is gloomy and serious, even the ending is sad.

Specter doesn't get access to Judgement Rush until after he's defeated Propeller knight, so unless the player went after him first, it would be impossible to do.

Bruh the pain from fighting the Tinker Tank in Plague's Campaign is so hard, my health was 5 only so I could only depend on Tonic's plus with those stupid bouncing balls on the loose, So I find the best strategy to beating him is to not take or try to not take damage in the 1st phase so the 2nd phase you can take some hits for the Tank dont even bother using those rockets to climb, insted, Set your bombs to Log Bombs, Black Powder and Quick Fuse so double jump and hit Tinker Knight with the bombs since its a quick fuse it'll be easier to hit him Also for the bouncing balls just hide in the corner.

Ninja Metall the reason he isn't free is because he himself chose to protect reize. I'm not saying it's his fault, wait that's exactly what I'm saying. he had many chances to just kill reize but chooses to save him instead because of his oath to luan and I think that's something that's explained very beautifully in this game, even if it's a bit sad. we should be saying thanks reize luan and Donovan for giving us a fantastic story

So the phase locket is important to Spectre knight, and in the ending of Plague Knight credits, Spectre knight goes for it and sees its gone, because of Plague Knight, so one of the last things he cared for is now gone and only Reize is the only thing he lives for because of his oath, Spectre knight is a sad one

I guess since Spectre Knight is assembling the Order of No Quarter this DLC takes place between the prologue and the bulk of Shovel Knight's campaign. Most likely during the time he set aside his knightly ways and took up farming.

You know... I think we might be able to set a sort of time line for these campaigns. This takes place before the original game, as there is no Shovel Knight fight. Plague Knight's story takes place during the main game, but the final boss happens before it ends (thus, the Enchantress being a thing).

That's one good prequel I must say. YachtClub really know what they are doing with their game. Lily Tan here's all of the stuff you must know about Specter Knight. He was originally Donovan, friends with Luan Seatlan. The latter had a child named reize. On a journey to the Tower of Fate, Donovan and Luan were confronted by shield knight. Donovan didn't care for her warnings of how the amulet was evil and he proceeded to take it. He then fell down a pit, killing him off. Shield Knight, now The Enchantress, brought him back to life as an empty shell known as Specter knight, tasked with finding eight warriors to join the order. Since Phantom Striker wasn't evil, the Enchantress had to settle with Luan's son. Specter knight gave up his freedom for Reize, joining the order.
