I was listening to Spotify yesterday when my vet called to tell me my beloved soul dog has cancer. When the call ended and I was crying into my dog’s fur, this was the first song to start playing. I feel I was meant to hear it in that very moment, like my dog Henry wanted me to know how much he loves me back. I’m absolutely heartbroken, but I thank you S&R for this lovely song.

How lucky we are, to have our pets as our life companions. I lost my sweet, absolutely massive, Frankie (a boxer mix!), 5 years ago, and my somehow-even-sweeter orange tabby, Bacon, this week. He was 21 years old. I am 23. I will never understand how I was so lucky to grow up with such incredible animal personalities, but at least I know I am not alone in this loss. Thank you.

Just lost my girl a month ago. My adult kids would laugh because I would baby talk to her which I never did even when my boys were young. She would greet me with the full body wag every time I came home. She was brought to my wife and I as a foster, surrendered by a breeder. I said that we woild keep her as soon as I met her. She loved everyone and all her pet brothers and sisters. I have never had a bad dog but she was just special. She had spent her entire life in a kennel having puppies. Her time with us was spent sleeping on the couch and being spoiled. I miss her every day.
