Give thanks for the person who hauls all the supplies up to the second and third floors. Work that’s not worth of videos but essential to job. Keep up the good job. Glad you addressed the Chicken Little who is focused on the possibility of the Ohio River flooding castle

At least that comment showed someone was concerned about your and the family's safety. (even if it was misplaced!). As always you and Ryan have the perfect partnership, Ryan goes in full tilt, and you stand back, and go for the easy way. I can see why you two are such good friends, I'd love a friend like that. Best wishes from UK.

In order to put a toilet and a sink I think that extra 6-8" on the right side of Ryan's wall would be best on the left. Great video.

If the bathroom doesn't have a window, isn't a fart fan required?

Haha the mosquito flying around the top right of the video around the 38 min mark initially made me think one was in the room here as we have the windows/doors open with old screens that are not super effective....I was glad to see it was in the video and not in the room here. :)

If the water ever did reach your castle, I think there would be more serious problem elsewhere. Besides you have a couple of levels up to hold out until you can be rescued, I'm assuming that castle has a fairly secure foundation.

Wall hung water closet in the corner of the room where it comes to a point will work the best for this room arrangement. Space saver. Thats only thing that we would install in industrial L.R. they worked every well. F.W. needs 15 # City Water.

Hello Matt; I had an idea but I goggled it to be sure, 12-2 Romax is good for 20 amps. Even if all your lights are LED's that's still a lot for one line. Your "codes" must be different in your area. Not questioning your capabilities but do you have to have a licensed contractor 'sign-off' or does a local inspector sign off on it? Do you need to put any protection over the wire while it's in the romex? Is there a depth requirement? I'm thinking of building and retiring in your area depending.

@PBandJDIY2 ай бұрын
I know you are using LED lights, but 6 outlets + lights is a stretch on a 15amp breaker. Plug in a hair dryer and a fan and turn the lights on and you are going to be standing in the dark. Don't know the code there, but 20amp breaker is not compatable with 15amp plugs and switches. They will get hot under heavy load and a hot wire in foam that is quite flamable isn't ideal either.

The name 'huckleberry' is a North American variation of the English dialectal name variously called 'hurtleberry' or 'whortleberry' (/ˈhwɜːrtəlbɛri/) for the bilberry.

Gosh darn it. I reckon a fella could make a leaky raft out of the "plywood" and float to safety just before it got too waterlogged and falls apart. Or you can ride out on the man lift with a snorkel fitted to the ennngine. Or even just walk up the ground behind the castle until you can build an ark from the trees. A fella just has to think ahead. Shucks.

It may not look like Matt and Ryan got much done. But in reality they got a couple of important items knocked out that's going to advance other items much faster. That bathroom is gonna be a tight squeeze for someone like Ryan with hi baby belly. Heah Ryan, whens the due date ? Just kiddin' Ryan. I l9ve tge banter between you, Matt and Lucas. A goid crew always works better when they can banter with no hard feelings.

Do you have regulations national or state, for placing your cables in the wall so you or other contractors know exactly whare they are after the drywall is installed in my country the UK we can only run our cables within strict "cable zones" in our walls

The term “100 year” flood plain is wrong. The origin of the phrase is someone who thought they were good at math. The actual correct term is flood zone “A”. This is an area described as any area where there is “at least” a 1% chance of flooding in any given year. Someone thought that means once in 100 years there will be a flood. Totally incorrect. Guess what? The river is in that “A” zone. And it has water 100% of the time. As you can see 100% is AT LEAST 1%.
@chetthejet38962 ай бұрын
Matt, comments are nice BUT you would need to be a fool to invest time and money into a construction job built in a flood plain.
