Maifield is so dang cool, the aura he has you just cling to it and listen to everything he says. A true pro at what he does, yes… I am a big fan lol

@Max I think #210 was my first. I was just starting in the hobby and saw some of MSM’s videos as well. Early on I remember I saw a lot of the pit walkabouts too which was fun.

I think what really separates Mayfield is that since day one, he's only focused on racing. A lot of the top guys have come to cross roads of racing and business.. Most choose to go a business route. Awesome interview Lefty

Racing rc is DEFINITELY a sport. For the top drivers it’s a scaled down Motorsport. It just needs to implement the F1 and NASCAR blueprint of taking the top drivers based on chassis, not country and race for points. If you want to race against them, you have to qualify, not just pay an entry fee. That way we can root for either our favorite driver or favorite car company. Just my 2¢.

Great podcast. Make 1/8th scale offroad racing, actual offroad again!

If someone wanted to go full time racing in the US where would he start as far as following any series?
@TheNoNameRCPodcast2 ай бұрын
It depends on where you live and what class if rc you want to race. There is no actual official national series for 1:8 racing but there are plenty of big national races to attend and participate in.
@TheNoNameRCPodcast2 ай бұрын
The 8th scale side in USA kicks off with National big races with SIC in January then it’s DNC, PNB , Silver State, ROAR Nats, Wicked Weekend, AMS are the major national races in the USA

Internet sales killed the hobby shop and the hobby shop had the RC track that no longer exist. High cost is #1 but availability is probably #2.

Do you mean in the terms of being a sport? If so I agree and yes RC can learn from Esports
