Just came across this video, I have one of these quick change sleeve holders, bought it on ebay some years ago, I am a retired toolmaker and still work on a casual basis in a small machine shop, usually when I could have used it, I've left it at home or I finish a job and say to myself " I could have used those quick change sleeves on that job" but forget I had it. One day I will give it a try and yes the idea is to Change while machine is running. eg centre drill, small drill, larger drill and deburr etc. Love your work. Hal

This toolholder offers a quick solution for quick change, but the sleeve collection would quickly fill a large box. I enjoyed the demonstration. I have never seen one like it before. Thanks.

number one advantage ive since discovered , is that you don't have to stop the machine to change drills..

The only issue would be indexing, so I suspect this would be used for non critical machining? Rob

yes id say it would be more likely used for cleaning out a water tap casting or such, or maybe for pilot and tapping drill size holes on a radial arm drill maybe. just a curiosity.

have one a quick change drill & tap chuck mins an arrow. no balls but spring-loaded.England
