I’m visually impaired and just received my Echo Show 8 2nd generation on Christmas. I’m loving it so far, but I’m having trouble with the Show and Tell part. So my question is do I have to download the Show and Tell app to identify items? If so where? On my IPhone or the echo show device?

Does the "Show and tell" function has regional restriction? Only available in US, UK and Canada? I'm in New Zealand , it seems not working here. If I change the device location to US, can it work?

It reads the label, but doesn’t recognize the product.

Haven’t tried myself but one of the other comments said it works really well for over-the-counter medication.

Hello, I don't know problems with my vision, but I folw you because I have a friend that he is in his 80s and has vision problem. Your videos are awesome, you are amazing, wowww. I trying to help him, but he doesn't listen to me, I was wondering if you can talk to him and help him to figure out what is the best set up for him. Thank you so much.

Thank you very much. I would recommend he speak with a vision counselor. They will be able to help get him set up with what he needs. If he lives here in the US, he will need to find the disabilities office for his state. Contact and set up an appointment.

real easy, not that hard. on the show 5 and show 8 the camera is located at the top right corner. on the show10, think it located at the top middle. a completely blind user here of the echo show here. yep.

Yeah, the tutorial walks you through how to orientate yourself to the camera. You hold it about a foot above the counter in about a foot or so away from the device. Once you know where your camera is, it’s not too difficult. It also gives you the beeping and other audio cues to help you line everything up.y

I was told by Amazon that it’s available in the UK. If you’re having trouble finding it, you may want to reach out to their support line to ask for assistance.

It's America only? Yes tried all posibilties nit working in Europe. Found accudentialy found out when you say - I am blind - It will tell you all useful skills. In my country wow only 2 for blind people and they're not that useful or innovative very basic Braille quiz and local news for disabled people.
